GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida High School Athletic Association has posted the game times for the four upcoming state championship games for next week that will take place in Tallahassee at Gene Cox Stadium.
The Class 1M State Championship will kick things off on the slate on Thursday, December 8 with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. Eastern time. Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood), University Christian (Jacksonville), Clearwater Central Catholic, and True North (Miami) are among the teams vying this week in the Class 1M state semifinals to be the two teams to be represented in the state championship.
On Friday, December 9, the Class 2S State Championship will take place with a kickoff slated for 7 p.m. Eastern time. Bradford (Starke), Cocoa, Bishop Verot (Fort Myers), and Florida High (Tallahassee) are among the teams left that are vying for one of the two spots for the state championship game with this week’s Class 2 state semifinals.
A doubleheader will take place on Saturday, December 10 with the Class 1S State Championship game slated for a 1 p.m. Eastern time. kickoff while the Class 1R State Championship will have a 7 p.m. Eastern kickoff.
In Class 1S Murnoe Day (Quincy), First Baptist (Naples), Trinity Catholic (Ocala), and John Carroll (Fort Pierce) are among the four teams left vying for a spot in the Class 1S State Championship Game while Blountstown, Hawthorne, Union County (Lake Butler) and Northview (Century) are among the four teams left in Class 1R that is vying this week for a spot in their respective state championship.
Tickets for the state championships in Tallahassee are $14.00 per game with advance purchase or $17.00 on the day of the game that can be purchased via GoFan with $2.00 for the cost of parking already included in each ticket of admission which the host organization retains.
Game times for the Class 4M, Class 3M, Class 2M, Class 4S, and Class 3S state championships have not been released by the FHSAA as of the publication of this article.
