GAINESVILLE, Fla. – With most of the Florida Top 25 in action there was some surprises that will result in changes when the latest rankings from FloridaHSFootball.com are released on Tuesday.
Here is a recap of how the Florida Top 25 fared after Week 9:
1. Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood) (1M), 8-0
The Lions blasted Avant Garde (Hollywood) 64-0 to capture one of two district victories needed to capture another District 1M-6 championship.

2. IMG Academy National (Bradenton) (IND), 7-0
Playing Gray Collegiate Academy out of South Carolina, the Ascenders easily handled business with a 53-7 victory over the visiting War Eagles to remain undefeated on the season.
3. Miami Norland (2M), 8-0
In the GMAC Championship, the Vikings had a tough quest against a Columbus (Miami) program that was struggling without their starting quarterback, but came away with a 16-3 victory to remain undefeated on the season.

4. American Heritage (Plantation) (2M), 6-1
The Patriots had no issues taking care of the visiting Golden Eagles from Naples in a 38-17 victory to get their sixth victory of the season.
5. Miami Central (2M), 4-3, 3
A week after suffering one of their toughest losses in a longtime, the Rockets came back and blasted on Miami Southridge with a 41-0 victory to pick up their fourth victory of the season.
6. Cocoa (2S), 7-1
The Tigers took care of business as expected at home against a struggling Astronaut (Titusville) program, thrashing the visiting War Eagles, 63-0.

7. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) (3M), 8-1
The Raiders went on the road to Monarch (Coconut Creek) where they soundly defeated a very solid Knights team, 35-19.
8. Mainland (Daytona Beach) (3S), 8-0
Mainland head coach Travis Roland called Osceola (Kissimmee) the best 2-5 team anywhere in Florida and the Buccaneers did not have it easy in getting the win, grinding out a tough 22-0 shutout over the visiting Kowboys.
9. Edgewater (Orlando) (3M), 9-0
The Eagles easily dispatched Horizon (Winter Garden) with ease with a 45-0 victory to fully lock up the District 3M-3 championship.

10. Armwood (Seffner) (3M), 7-1
Going on the road to nearby Plant City, the Hawks easily rolled the host Raiders in preparation for this week’s district showdown against Tampa Bay Tech.
11. Lakeland (4S), 6-3
Another home game, another loss for the Dreadnaughts as Clearwater Academy rallied to win in the final minutes with a 35-34 upset victory in Week 9.
12. Lake Mary (4M), 8-0
The Rams took care of business on the road at Apopka with a 49-21 victory that ended up becoming a running clock game in the second half as the Rams prepare for a huge district showdown with Seminole (Sanford) this week.

13. Homestead (3M), 6-1
It was not easy, but the Broncos continued on their winning ways as of lately with a 28-14 victory over Miami Edison in the GMAC Bowl series.

14. Columbus (Miami) (4M), 7-2
Suffering their second loss in three weeks, the Explorers struggled without starting quarterback Alberto Mendoza, dropping the GMAC Championship 16-3 to Miami Norland.
15. Miami Palmetto (4M), 7-1
The Panthers easily handled business against visiting Dr. Krop (Miami) with a 44-9 victory to get their seventh win of the season.
16. Seminole (Sanford) (4M), 7-2
The Fighting Seminoles easily handled a downtrodden Lake Brantley (Altamonte Springs) teams with, thrashing the host Patriots, 48-3.

17. St. Augustine (3S), 7-0, 17
On the road at Gainesville, the Yellow Jackets swarmed the host Hurricanes, shutting them out with 56-0 victory.
18. Buchholz (Gainesville) (4S), 8-0
Putting on one of their best performances of the season, the Bobcats handled the visiting Bears at east with a 44-7 victory. You can read more about Buchholz’s victory here.

20. Vero Beach (4S), 7-1
The Indians took it easy but handled Martin County (Stuart) with a 28-3 victory in preparation for a big district showdown with Treasure Coast this week.

21. Bradford (Starke) (2S), 8-0
The Tornadoes easily handled business against visiting Lecanto, pitching a 42-0 shutout victory on the Panthers.
22. Clearwater Central Catholic (1M), 8-0, 22
The Marauders were off in Week 9 with games against Seffner Christian and Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale) left on the schedule to close out the seaon.
23. Palm Beach Central (Wellington) (4M), 7-0, 23
Dropping their first game of the season, the Broncos found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard against Palm Beach Gardens in a 23-14 setback.
24. Tampa Bay Tech (3M), 8-1, 24
The Titans hopes of undefeated season were crushed at home when visiting Jesuit (Tampa) took home a 35-28 victory in a week before a huge district showdown with Armwood (Seffner).
25. Venice (4S), 6-2
Another week, another lopsided victory for the Indians as they prepare for IMG Academy White (Bradenton) to visit this week.
