Where: Warden Stadium, Orlando
Broadcast/streaming info: NFHS Network
Records: Atlantic, 4-0; First Academy, 4-0
Rankings: Atlantic is ranked No. 16 in the Florida Top 25, No. 3 in Class 5A; First Academy is ranked No. 19 in the Florida Top 25, No. 4 in Class 1A
What To Know: Atlantic is coming off a huge 42-13 victory over Blanche Ely (Pompano Beach last week) to take a lead in District 5A-14 … First Academy stomped over Melbourne Central Catholic 42-6 to take a lead in District 1A-6 … The host Royals are averaging 45 points per game while Atlantic is averaging 45 points per game … For the visiting Eagles keep an eye on quarterback Lincoln Graf who has already thrown for nearly 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns with just only one interception thrown so far … Graf’s favorite target is Teddy Hoffman who has 328 yards receiving on 18 catches and 4 touchdowns … Leader of the defense include Moise Paul. Samuel Bryant III, and Shamar Scruggs as the lead the teams in tackles … The Eagles have racked up a ton of sacks through the first four games, but it is unclear how many sacks they have as preseason statistics have been included in the statistics, which are traditionally not counted on the season record for teams … For First Academy Solomon Georges is the one t watch under center who has already thrown for 947 yards and 10 touchdowns along with 236 yards rushing and three touchdowns … Georges’ favorite targets include Evan James and Demetrice McCray who have combined for over 700 yards receiving and nine touchdowns … Linebacker Aden Hall leads the team in tackles with 46 and leads the team in sacks with two.
Josh’s Pick: This is a great matchup that was not the schedule for Week 5 initially when the season started and that is thanks to a schedule opening coming open on the Royals schedule. However, breaking it down, Atlantic has been mowing down anyone and everyone who is standing in their way while First Academy has had to battle hard in some of their games so far. While this could be a closer game, the way Atlantic is playing leads us to think that First Academy will be handed their first loss of the season this week. ATLANTIC OVER FIRST ACADEMY
