2025 NFL DRAFT: Florida high school football alumni hope to hear their names called from Green Bay this weekend

With the 2025 NFL Draft taking place this coming weekend in Green Bay we want to take a look at who could possibly be drafted from the Sunshine State across all seven rounds as alumni who played high school football from around the Sunshine State hope to hear their names called over the three-day event.

According to MaxPreps, Florida has led with 311 picks over the last decade with the Sunshine State having the most selections in six of those years in 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024. Only in 2016, 2020 and 2020 was the state out done by Texas with Georgia leading the pack in 2017. Furthermore, our friends at High School Football America add in that Florida has dominated the first round of the NFL draft over the last 10 years with 47 picks in the opening round of the drafts during that stretch of time.

However, could Florida cede the lead to Texas, Georgia or possibly in California in 2025? That is what some are thinking as the class of prospects that played high school football in the Sunshine State is fewer than it has been in the last few years, looking at mock drafts from ESPN, Pro Football Focus, and SB Nation to get a gage.
