Below the Top 5 are the regional rankings for Class 3A, showing you how teams are ranked in each of the four designated FHSAA regions.

Class 3A Top 5

1. Trinity Christian (Jacksonville), 2-0, 1
Week 2: Defeated Ribault, 34-6
This Week: at University Christian
Comment: So the Conquerors have only given up 12 points to opposing teams, so things are looking great in that department. However, a trip across town to rival University Christian is on deck this week and they will face a Christians’ team that has yet to give up a single point in their first two games of the season.

2. Clearwater Central Catholic, 2-0, 3
Week 2: Defeated Indian Rocks Christian, 34-0
This Week: at DeSoto County
Comment: The Marauders are on a roll to start the season and demolished the Class 2A state runner-up from last year. Tougher part of the schedule yet to come, but things are looking good. Should have it easy this week at DeSoto County, where DeSoto has only scored 10 points in their first two games of the season.

3. Lakeland Christian, 2-0, 4
Week 2: Defeated First Baptist (Naples), 48-12
This Week: vs. Bishop Verot
Comment: The Vikings are off to a hot start already on the season and could possibly have a barn burner showdown setting up with Bishop Verot this week. Nonetheless Lakeland Christian is looking good so far in 2015.

4. American Heritage (Delray), 1-1, 2
Week 2: Lost to Bergen Catholic NJ, 37-7
This Week: vs. Glades Central
Comment: A trip to New Jersey did not fair well for the Stallions. Yes it is was against a national powerhouse in Bergen Catholic, but too much feedback from those that did watch the game say there are issues beyond what is happening in 11 vs. 11 that could ultimately affect the team. This week’s game against Glades Central will tell us more if that win at Naples was a fluke or if the loss against Bergen Catholic is a fluke.

5. Oxbridge Academy, 1-1, 5
Week 2: Lost to Miami Carol City, 27-14
This Week: vs. Royal Palm Beach
Comment: The Thunderwolves found themselves in a solid matchup last week against 6A Miami Carol City, but it was good lesson for the Thunderwolves to take in losing to a bigger program as it will prepare them for the American Heritage (Delray) in Week 6.
