Just some Random thoughts Champagnat should be ranked... They play Cocoa real soon and win or lose it will validate that as Cocoa is ranked 10th. Clay probably should not be ranked Manatee.. dang is it that bad folk? Booker t as #1 was an homage to their last 2 seasons... They are good but are they better than STA and American Heritage after losing so much? Trinity is probably too high East Lake probably should not be ranked South Dade will not have the season they had last year

I am not a big kickoff classic game but Its those OOS games by far because they count. East Lake and Manatee because its 2 mystery teams and I like the Godby IMG because we know IMG will play every game for keeps since technically none of their games count.

Everyone can't win a championship more good teams means you got to bring your A game all the time. Truly the best team well be well deserved and we will have a playoff system similar to Texas.

Keep 1A (Let small school North Teams have their own exclusive league and championship as they already do and call it Florida North or something because to truly be a rural class team like Frostproof, Ft. Meade, and Pahokee would have to be included which they never will because of distance ) break up the remaining classifications by simply combining 2A+3A = 1A - The majority of the teams in these classes are overwhelmingly private schools as is. You could even call it Florida Small Private class and push all the small public schoolsinto the Florida Rural or class above which would give a southern base for rural teams without private schools included. Isn't 3A population lower than the highest Rural? 4A and 5A = 2A - the talent difference is slim to none here. Your best 4A can compete and beat the best in 5A on any given day. The teams that never win state in 4A are not getting over that hump anyday soon with the top 6 teams in 4A never changing so just lump them together. 6A-7A =3A - Combine these 2 and change the high attendance. These 2 are Florida's 2 most competitive classifications. I do not see a disparagement of talent or teams between the 2. 8A =4A Take all the big schools (not necessarily the best) and lump them here. Include some of the higher end 7A schools like Plant, East Lake Palm Harbor etc. There we have 5 classes possibly 1 for all small private schools and 1 for small public. It will never happen though but just my thoughts.

I am late but your right Orlando makes the most sense because it is centralized. They will not do a college stadium anymore unfortunately due to the rule the FHSAA put into place that because all of the colleges who did not get to host that year complained that it gave an extra recruiting advantage because coaches could sneak in unauthorized visits and such. So while I would love for it to be at UCF (such a better location for high school football and so much to do in the immediate area with lots and lots of parking) it will never happen. I am hoping for Raymond James or maybe even Tropicana.

FHSAA fell out of love with Lakeland because of the "drama" between the 2 entities. By all accounts I think they like Orlando but the stadium construction may be a worry even though it will have to be playable no later than the Florida Classic as that is not a game that can be easily relocated.

I unfortunately think they will lose by 3 scores.

Yeah they have some major events in November and then December and January that they will need to be ready for so construction crews will work around the clock. The hull of the stadium and seating will need to be complete prior to the 2014 Florida Classic (FAMU vs Bethune) because most years this game is a sellout. If they move that, they risk losing that revenue forever.

Slick, I think its because the school decided to stop giving out 95% scholarships. Everyone would have to start paying minimum 7k. I hear a lot of the parents who kids weren't getting aid were getting passed up on the depth chart and started threatening to pull them....... Well their kids may play now they just won't win many games anymore.

He also said he will not be playing for Uschool next year... The kids know.

1A -3103 2A - Nothing reported by FHSAA probably less than 500 3A - 1982 4A - 2199 2A will never have large attendances because its usually small private schools with enrollments less than 500 students

I think Cook can handle the load. Does Yearby play any defense? I assume no their D is still stout. Mainland and ARmwood will be tougher games though but I think they get through.

I agree without Miramar from the South 8A lost its buzz. All the buzz will come from the State semifinal. Also I don't think either south team has big followings so the attendance likely drops by not having them in there.

They did it on the field so it counts to me.

New dogs are jumping on the block. If you asked that question about Booker T 10 years the answer wouldn't be the same. IMO: 8A Apopka vs whomever from the south won't be all that good of a game. If Plant goes it still won't be a good game 7A Niceville vs Dwyer or East Lake will be a good one (don't county out East Lake) plus Both of those teams have several D1 players. The ones for East Lake: George Campbell - Michigan Artavis Scott - Clemson Devin Abraham - USF Mason Cole - Michigan Brandon Goettell - Undecided So to say the least that Semifinal should be a good matchup and will bring a good final 6A Its looking like Armwood vs Central. Rematch and Revenge game I like it 5A Lakewood vs American Heritage is what I see. Don't look past Lakewood they are a team most of y'all never heard of but look at their college and NFL pedigree and you will see why I say don't over look them. They always have D1 athletes EVERYEAR now they are being coached up correctly.... With that said I still think AMH would kill them so maybe not a good game but a good new dog on the block 4A. BTW was not going to be challenged in state this year that is just that 3A TCA vs New Dog CCC Both teams have numerous D1 athletes. Don't sleep on this game. 2A Victory vs Champagnat - Yeah I know 2A ball but Champagnat looks like something different... Check out their highlights and you will see what I mean. I think it will be an exciting finals season with new teams that will bring a different type of excitement. Don't fear the unknown.

I think it will be Apopka but Dad's stadium has some magic so I wouldn't count Plant out at home. No I don't mean officiating magic as these officials will either be from Pinellas or Polk just I've seen weird things and crazy come backs at Dad's. With that said I will probably check out Dwyer @ East Lake.
