Chris Hutchings has been hired by Fort Pierce Westwood as the new HC, per Jon Santucci. Previously the HC at John Carroll for the past two seasons and was at the helm of Fort Pierce Central from 2005-2010. Santucci noted Hutchings is the first person to be the HC at all three high schools in Fort Pierce.

Per Jon Santucci: Vero Beach will host Mainland on May 18.

Right -- previous post talked about there being a Forest HS in Ocala in addition to a Forest Park HS.

Tampa Bay Christian will be starting a football program for the 2018 season.

We don't have a Forest Park.

Lakewood Ranch is seeking a new HC.

Frank Garis has taken over at Oakleaf. Garis has spent time as an assistant at Ponte Vedra, Clay, Orange Park and Nease.

Gulf Coast HC Pete Fominaya has stepped down to accept the same role at Hiram HS in Georgia.

Bobby May has stepped down at Suncoast saying, in part, to the Sun-Sentinel: “I am looking for a better opportunity to move to a state where teachers and coaches are appreciated."

Chris Sands has stepped down from Brooksville Central to take the HC position at Eau Gallie, per the Brooksville Central team Twitter account.

Cape Coral has opened up. St. Brendan and Tohopekaliga will both be launching programs in 2018. Former Viera HC Kevin Mays is the AD at Tohopekaliga.

Ron Ream stepped down from Benjamin after 37 years as HC to retire. John I Leonard has tabbed Keith Chattin as the new HC, who spent the past five seasons involved with the Tampa Lennard program.
