Great question. I think it depends on which poll you look at. With this loss I see BTW dropping big. Now a win versus Central will boost them back up, but losing to Jax is a lot worse than AHP losing to BTW.

Until Bishop Gorman loses, it's theirs to lose. IMG will be in the mix, but without playing in state playoffs will hurt.

Even if they do 3 straight weeks off really hurts. Now with BTW losing it weakeneds an already weak SOS. Too many good teams out there nationally. Yes teams will lose here and there but it won't be enough. At best use this season as builder for next season. With proper scheduling, I hope they could come into next season as a title contender.

This loss is not a season changer. And even if they lose to Central, BTW is still far better than any team in 4A. Cocoa will test them for sure, but I can't see them beating BTW.

Central has an opportunity in front of them to REALLY put themselves in the hunt. But the coach is a BONEHEAD! All I will say at this point, it's definitely a season changer. Only reason why I'm not saying more is because I am hoping they will reconsider, but I doubt it.

With weak 8 game schedule to begin, now with BTW losing, and 3 straight weeks off at the end of the season, I seriously doubt MC has a chance at a MNC. Top 10 to end the season at best.

Posted this on the other site. Would like to get your thoughts. With #1 STA losing to #6 BTW, and #2 Grayson losing to #4 IMG. Then with #3 BG playing #5 Cedar Hill later. Who gets the the top spot? I say BTW. Two top 6 wins in consecutive weeks

I was at the game last night. BTW looked good but I will say AHP is overrated. The QB was not impressive. The RB had ONE nice run of about 15 yards. The lack of QB play made it hard for the WR's to make plays. The defense is decent but nothing to write home about. And lastly very undisciplined. Now I do believe they will get their act together to win 5A, but I won't be surprised if Colquitt beats next week if they go up there with the same game play. They should fall in the polls if any come out on Monday. As for BTW once they got thier wheels rolling it was a wrap. True test comes next week in STA. Ice will have them ready. And I can see them winning that game. Won't be shocked at all. Game with Central will be huge as well because they match up with each other well.

McGil-Toolen is a beast in Bama. They won state last year in either 6 or 7A. They compete every year. They just don't have the publicity Hoover has.

That should have been something looked into in January, not late June.

They were trying to shuffle their schedule to make room for it, but too much of a hassle.

They were trying to put together a Miami-Dade vs Broward double header along with BTW-STA. More money, but it was too late.
