  1. 2-0. Pahokee with 6:34 left in the first. Chiefland fumbled on the first possession. Pahokee drove to the 10 before getting stopped on 4th down. Chiefland recovers a muffed kickoff on the free kick
  2. Has the FHSAA banned artificial noisemakers from playoff games, because Pahokee High received a notice of potential penalties and fines if they use them during the game. If they are banning them, then why are they acceptable during the regular season?
  3. The current principal/administration has done a great job of improving the academic standing at the schools. They have one of the top robotics programs, they’re pushing more dual-enrollment (several kids have graduated high school as college juniors). The organization of the Pahokee program is better then Glades Central at this time
  4. The last governor (can’t think of his name) closed the state prison in Belle Glade and that eliminated a lot of job. The Sugar industry and Railroad employs a lot of people in the Glades. It’s the people with degrees from the area that don’t have many employment opportunities in the area. There are a lot of kids from Belle Glade that attends the IB Schools in Pahokee (Elementary, Middle/High) and Pahokee high has the highest graduation rate in Palm Beach County. The organization of the Belle Glade football program has hurt them, parents now send their kids to play for the Pahokee Pop Warner football teams (they are 1 win away from their Super Bowl). The Demps kid I posted earlier attended Pahokee before his JR and SR years.
  5. The Dwyer loss will be the determining factor, that’s why that game hurt the most. I read somewhere that Hawthorne SOS was negative something.
  6. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/15282283/6190f6d2b3c87201448f4fa1 Kid probably had half of those stats this year and he could score from anywhere on the field.
  7. Don’t know what happened. There team got worse after they played you guys during the pandemic season (2 years ago). It’s like all of their talent just left and the staff isn’t sure what they have. They have the top, senior WR in Palm Beach County in Semaj Demps (committed to Perdue or Miss St) and they can’t get him the ball (kid gets 3/4 touches a game). Didn’t have a touch outside of kick/punt return tonight. They have a good running back and he’s the reason they moved the ball tonight, They have a talent issue and the talent they do have, they aren’t utilizing and being put in positions to succeed
  8. Me too, because the game wasn’t close at all. Pahokee has been in that position before. Hopefully they can find the right staff to rebuild the program and they have to start playing their best players both ways, because the drop of from their best players to the others is to big to overcome
  9. 30-0 Pahokee at halftime…plenty of penalties (rivalry game). Glades Central probably doesn’t have positive yards yet and only crossed midfield once
  10. Senior, DeeJay Holmes has 26 sacks this year (maybe 27), which is the school single season record (I think). Has offers from Louisville and UCF that I know of, but I know he has more. First 4 games this season http://www.hudl.com/v/2JGJ22
  11. That’s been Pahokee’s JV team (7/8/9th graders) since forever and before they got a pop Warner league most people didn’t put on football pads until 7th grade
  12. Varsity rosters are usually 30-40 kids and we’ve had some bigger or equal rosters to Delray-Atlantic, Dwyer, Palm Beach Gardens, Charlotte, and Palm Beach Lakes. Pahokee doesn’t have issues filling the varsity rosters for all sports, it’s the JV/Freshman rosters that we have issues filling. Our JV, football roster is filled with majority of 7th/8th/9th graders and they are 6-0 right now. Freshman basketball is usually middle schoolers (6/7/8), JV basketball is 7th/8th/9th graders, and Varsity basketball is high school kids. Our girls JV teams are usually all middle-schoolers in all sports.
  13. For a school that has about 400 kids, it’s amazing. And we’ve lost a lot of kids to other schools. Palm Beach Central has 3 starters that are from PK, one WR who’s committed to Central Michigan. Inlet Grove has 4 starters that are from PK with a WR committed to Illinois, and IMG has a OL (K. Harris) from PK who’s committed to UF. If we were able to keep all our kids (poor local economy) we would be scary
  14. Martin County 28-Vero Beach 21
  15. Should’ve been a bigger margin of victory, but Pahokee has played down to their opponents the last few games. Hats off to the Charlotte team, they fought hard the entire game. Offensively, PKs passing game led the scoring, with all 4 tds. The running game was somewhat held in check, but Charlotte just played Richard Young and Lehigh (14-19 loss) so they were up to the test against the run. Was a dominating defensive performance, Charlotte’s only TD came off a kickoff return.
  16. Charlotte HS stepped in to replace Clewiston this Friday so Pahokee will have a homecoming/senior night
  17. Hated running into this option teams in the playoffs, when you haven’t seen it in the regular season
  18. Clewiston backed out of their game with Pahokee (homecoming) on Oct. 21 because they need to makeup district games (hurricane Ian cancellations). Now Pahokee has 3 consecutive byes 10/14, 10/22, and 10/28 before the season finale against Glades Central (Muck Bowl). This could be a blessing or curse, hopefully Pahokee can find a replacement game.
  19. 27-14 final. PKs gotta exercise those second half demons, especially coming out of halftime. Atlantic kept the box stacked, so the passing game was on tonight and it was successful, because it wasn’t forced.
  20. 27-14. Pahokee 5:54 left in the 4th. PK scores on a 50+ yard pass on their second possession of the second half
  21. Atlantic recovers a short kickoff
