Are you serious? Lets look at this Trinity Christian(is the Rock better?) NO!, Viera(is the Rock better?) already been answered.  Mainland(is the Rock better?) NO!, Bartram Trail(is the Rock better?) NO!  Last, Pahokee(is the Rock better?) NO!

Talking all this nonsense about Cocoa fans cant possibly think that they are going to ride shot gun over them.  Why wouldn't they think that.  Who has Rockledge played that was worth a darn?   Best competition Rockledge has played they have lost to.  They haven't played a team as complete as Cocoa!

Prediction:  Cocoa 45  Rockledge 7  (running clock start of the 4th quarter)

Rockledge would beat Pahokee just as bad as you guys did. TC, Mainland (6-4) are both in down years so yeah they could beat them. Bartram Trail(6-3) I don't know much about, guessing solid team just like Trinity and Mainland but with the athletes Rockledge has they would big-play them all to wins.

Cocoa has played a bunch of very solid but not great teams. Viera was their only big win and that should have been won by Viera 2-3 times. Cocoa usually goes out of state and plays a Bishop Gorman ect.. but not this year.

Totally agree Rockledge schedule except for Viera and Osceola is below average, Doesn't mean they don't have the talent to play with Cocoa. Big edge to Cocoa in coaching, but with the switch of Corbin to QB at least Younger and staff are improving on using their weapons appropriately.

Ok, so looking back. The closest somewhat recent was 2009, 14-0 Cocoa or 2007, 17-7 Cocoa. The last time Rockledge won was 2005, 22-12.

I thought it had to be around 10 years. Was 2007 the QB Hunter Pinkston years? When did Rockledge win state. I'm a MI alum and we owned Brevard before the Palm Bay and Rockledge  eras of state  champ. wins.

    Cocoa 49

    Rockledge 21

Well, 21 pts. for Rockledge is giving them a little more credit for this years improved team. Think they will surprise you with a defense that will fly around and tackle decent. Can't see Cocoa scoring 49 on them. Osceola only put 35 on them, and they are a little more balanced then Cocoa.

Geez any mercy rule for a team that can let them out of 7a lol

After last night they can take South Fork with them. Embarrassing district game our JV would have beat. First play of the game offensive line blew dline a solid 7 yds off ball. Zero physicality across both lines, offense had no clue what part of defense they were trying to attack. Just an ugly program right now. Ship them to play in Westland Hialeah district so they can play in Loser Bowl.

Lets revisit this after MI-Rock game. If Rockledge is as improved as I think, they will beat MI convincingly. Not saying Rockledge can beat Cocoa, just think it won't be the usual blowout. Too much new talent not to make a difference in score.

Younger and his staff talked a lot of trash last year, and was embarrassed again by Viera & Cocoa. If they talk anymore this year they are idiots for not learning the lesson. Beating a Palm Bay or MI is not it.

Time to bring this thread back so Cocoa fans can adjust their overblown projections for the game.    Rockledge 26    -   Cocoa 28 in a squeaker!

I told all of you to take a breath and slow down.  You need to listen to an old wiseman sometimes.

    Cocoa 41 Pahokee 13  Oh wait!!! Cocoa 45 - PK 0

Boys, this Cocoa team is as good as any they have had,  IMG is the best team in Florida and Cocoa is #2.  As I said in my earlier post, when Viera/South Fork got ugly I was think of running up to Cocoa.  Well, then was following the Cocoa game, and said no need.

Next week the Raiders will bring a different team in years past.  However, will not handle the big stage pressure.

    Cocoa 34 Rockledge 12

Your hurting my spotless prognosticating: I got Cocoa 28-26. Corbin,Mitchell. and Tennison get some break aways but Rockledge atrocious kicking misses two Ex. Pts.  to lose the closest BBQ Bowl in years.  When was the last close game in this rivalry? Cocoa fans?

    Viera 46   Heritage 0

Love your confidence, would think Heritage would give us a better game heading into the play-offs. They usually have some solid athletes on both sides of the ball and decent coaching. How about   Viera 38  -  Heritage 14  ?

But will be happy to be wrong!:D

  8. Viera 50-7 halftime. South fork worst 7A team in class. Amazing a school that large can have no offense or defense or special teams. Just miserable. Had to have about 50 yds total offense. Only td was classic, Viera QB pulls ball on a RPO and SF defender steps in takes hand-off and runs the other way with it. Great play for defense. Only highlight in very one-sided game.

Heritage should be a better game next week for the Hawks.

Should of consulted me on Rockledge. :) They will win district easily and will give Cocoa a better game then Pahokee. Cocoa 35- Pahokee 14.

    Rockledge  26   Cocoa 28

My bad, pahokee 0  -    cocoa 45  Ouch!!!

Team speed is Pahokee's strength. That's all they do have. Pass coverage seems to be Pahokee's weakness this year. Sounds like they don't have to worry about that tonight because Cocoa doesn't throw the ball.

How is the Hawkins kid, compared to Vero's RB (Dixon)?

Meant more from a depth standpoint on speed. Just considering roster size, Hawkins can score in 4th as much as in 1st quarter.

Obviously, someone hasn't done their homework on Pahokee, if he thinks that they don't have any team speed. Hawkins and Dixon (Vero's RB) are night and day comparisons. Dixon is a downhill, thumper, that lacks the long end speed. While Hawkins  is a big play waiting to happen in the pass or run game.

This^ Dixon will run you over before trying to side-step you, and will get better results. Hawkins is elite speed and vision, can break one on any play. Any high school team would love to have either one. Against Viera, I thought Hawkins more impressive.

From what I gathered. Cocoa is not big on passing the ball.

I think "lil old" Pahokee may surprise a lot of you tonight. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Hawkins isn't your average back. Didn't score on Viera but broke off a half dozen huge gains. Doubt Pahokee has team speed on defense to prevent the long td runs over an entire game.

It's not that it doesn't exist. The game is a factor for points, but Rockledge has been a surprise this year and we had to throw that out there because points on that game are going to matter now.

Should of consulted me on Rockledge. :) They will win district easily and will give Cocoa a better game then Pahokee. Cocoa 35- Pahokee 14.

    Rockledge  26   Cocoa 28

that would probably break some records lol

I tried to convince Columbia to play you all in basketball but that may not end well for us, mainly bc of fact we never really get to play any national powerhouses and unless something changed we are still lacking size to match up with bigger teams

Check out Florida Institute of Technology summer camp next summer. Viera played several Miami teams beat Columbus and thought Norland was in it. Over 70 teams from around the state. FIT put on a great camp, and centrally located in the state so most can make the drive in half a day.

Northwestern is the team to beat from Miami this year.

And the FHSAA gave the 6A game a nightcap this year and I am so happy they demoted 7A to the afternoon. After the last few years, the 7A game at night got really boring when Aquinas was ahead by 35 or 40. Not fun.

Problem is this is everyone's best shot to knock off STA.  Lack of offense makes an upset in this decade a possibility.
