  1. It would be one thing if I’m just hyped about this year because of the transfers & shii. but Dillard has been turning the corner & becoming this powerhouse in full for the last 3 years now. , in my opinion being a POWERHOUSE is not just decided on rings & state championship appearances. in my opinion it’s also judged on can you got to me to toe with elite STATE OR NATIONALY RANKED talent ? Dillard has done that. can you beat a state elite opponent? Dillard has done that (Columbus 2019) eventual state champion. glades central (2020) were they glades central of old ? No but still a formidable opponent. STA 2021 (23-14) lost @ STA where many felt Dillard should of won, against a national powerhouse the same place a national powerhouse in st Frances was BLOWN OUT. now as adults our opinions can differ, which is cool & what this message board is about. Even if Dillard wasn’t my alma mater seeing what they have risen to over the last 4 years I would most def call them a state powerhouse & a championship contender, will they further prove that this year we will see.
  2. That’s yo opinion & Ima respect it. But when yo resume 36-5 over the last 4 years. with a regional final app on your resume, a championship trophy under ya resume (GRANTED IT WAS TRI COUNTY) but it still a worthy accomplishment during a trying time. We were forced as a county to forfeit from playing in the FHSAA state playoffs, where as MIAMI had a option which is crazy because dade & broward is usually on one accord with those types of decisions. NONETHELESS Am I saying dillard is a NATIONAL powerhouse ? Of course not they can prove that this year though.
  3. Not this past year I’m talkin bout in the playoffs about two years ago STA WENT on the road as heavy favs & lost & it was Venice my apologies
  4. Look at STA @ madarian , everybody picked STA in a DOUBLE land slide & madarian clipped they ass that night. Run that game back and STA win by 30+ point is anything can happen on the road when it’s two great teams playing that’s the whole point of the playoffs especially in the latter round. Unfortunately one team has to lose.
  5. That’s where I respectfully disagree Dillard has already shown they go TOE TO TOE with not only elite teams but nationally ranked teams EX “STA @ STA” & to a lesser degree CM even tho it was a shut out it was a defensive battle in a KOC. homestead & Dillard were BOTH (10-1) coming into that game as great as Dillard was last year anything can happen on the road in incimate weather when a team is as desperate as you. could Dillard have been looking ahead to STA of course, but make no mistake homestead was not a push over 2nd round opponent. Dillard was the better team but homestead played better that night that’s all.
  6. I would love to play em again , the more I look at that game the more homestead was the team playing with house money. They had nothing to lose. add that playing in front of their home crowd who most def came out for once and Filled up their side. Their announcer kept the home team hyped all night. add the fact it rained all night and for some reason Dillard WRS forget how to catch in inclimiate weather, it was a perfect storm and homestead took advantage as they should have. then to add insult to injury our crowd attendance was pathetic because they didn’t want to drive a hour in constant rain to exit 1 when they was sure Dillard would be facing STA the next week & look what happen.
  7. I thought homestead wasn’t in another classification. I would love to see they ass again. outside of that it’s crazy Dillard went (9-1) last year & was a district runner up lol, looking back we would have been on the road up until the state title game. @FTL @ homestead @STA HFA is gonna b key even tho it’s crazy I think our crowd is more rowdy on the road in big game’s lol
  8. But just by curiosity in your opinion who are all (CONTENDERS) in 3A Metro ?
  9. But in all seriousness I Understand what you’re saying bro. It’s funny they still can’t get 1A in order even after it was made clear that madco doesn’t even belong in 1A , just like I don’t believe chaminade belong in 2A. Sure their school population says they most def belong there. But when 50% of that population is recruited football talent that’s all you need you to dominate your district & class which they have done.
  10. We’re bloodhounds down here now lol hahahahahaha lmao lol
  11. Exactly, but aye we all make mistakes with his height & weight this man has the potential to be a automatic first down on offense I would love to see him causing problems against MIAMI central at traz lol you know it’s about to be standing room only lol. but aye I’m just ready for some football.
  12. Boyd Anderson haven’t won more then 4 games in the last 5 6 years lol and a few of those seasons were 1-2 win seasons. they literally have little to no fan base & their in the same district as us & STA. Staying at bA will probably run him away from football then anything lol. I’m glad he’s coming home where his whole family graduated.
  13. Well their most def not flocking to ft Lauderdale high I can tell you that. as far as winning 3A this year, granted that is the goal, but transfers are already flocking to Dillard left and right. In the end tho we will see what transpires on the field in a few short months.
  14. Gonna look at some film on him if he got great hands & size & technique to go with that size he’s gonna be a PROBLEM especially in Short yards to gain situations. but he is brand spanking new to football so can’t expect that much but at Dillard I know the coaches gonna have him RIGHT come august.
  15. Exactly and I couldn’t agree more before the last 2 years DILLARD has 4 different football coaches in 4 years 2017-18 Head coach hemming way in his last season at Dillard (6-5) first round playoff exit 2018-19 under first year head coach toriano Morgan he took Dillard to a (8-3) regular season record and a first round playoff exit to MIAMI central. in 2019-20 my near & dear friend finally got his varsity head coaching opportunity & he led the panthers to their first ever (10-0) regular season record and led the panthers to the reigional finals for the first time since 2001, before suddenly passing away a few months later #LLE 2020-21 another well known and respected panther got the head coaching job in Tyler tate who was the OC for chaminade during their 4 Pete. and since taking over 2 years ago TATE has Gone 17-2 lost only 1 regular season game a (23-14) lost @ STA last season. And hoisted the first ever tri county title in 2020. Point of the matter Dillard could have crumbled but they used that adversity and become what most thought was long gone at Dillard a POWER HOUSE FOOTBALL PROGRAM.
  16. Which why Dillard built from the ground up & didn’t rely on transfers aka killian now look.
  17. Na we rarely if ever lost them to DFB it was mostly to STA, then AHP. we had already got 4 transfers from AHP & two from out of state before any DFB players transferred
  18. Oh no I empathize with you wholeheartedly, what’s crazy is the type of teams you like to see ; you’re literally describing Dillard High School. a once feared football powerhouse back in the 80,90s & early 2000s turned into a laughing stock for the next decade. Which includes losing a lot of our homegrown talent to The likes of STA,AHP & etc. bit for the last few years since 2017 Dillard has been building within from middle school to varsity, before you see all the transfers we get now, our program has to first create & develop a trusted process & identity to get our OWN players to stay home before we can get any other kids to want to come here. now that Dillard is a Florida powerhouse & have a elite coaching staff kids want to play for Dillard now. @Jullian @DarterBlue2 @VeniceIndiansFootball correct me if I’m wrong
  19. B.A. 2023 ATH Daniel Michel transfers to Dillard. Michel (6’6 265) is a 2-sport standout that has just one season of football experience. A raw talent w/ an elite frame & athletic traits that project to P5 talent @ OT or DE, make him on the biggest sleeper prospects in S. Florida
  20. As far as the beating up on each other statement I look at it like this, you’re looking at it from a “MIA STANDPOINT” as you want all the MIAMI powers to win it all in different classifications aka “ONE EAT ALL EAT” but I look at it like this yall beat up on each other most years in the regular season for bragging rights. Why not play each other in a setting where it really counts & leave it all on the field. i would love for Dillard to play a STA or MIAMI central or Venice or etc in the state championship rather then the first or second round.
  21. I look at it like this MIAMI central,MNW, carol city & throwback Jackson & carol city wasn’t scared to play nobody. but the rest of MIAMI outside of Columbus don’t be wanting no smoke with true contenders. Miami get the put as a whole when it comes to toughness & fearlessness but in reality it’s just a GOOD 5 schools in Mia that really want that smoke.
