This is the Georgia team(from the south side of Atlanta) that will be coming down this week to play Miami Central.  These are some highlights from their Battle of the Border game versus a good Hallandale team.

Hallandale's qb, Tyler Huntley, had one of the best careers ever by a Broward County qb and earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors.  He has been a starter for the Utah Utes the past two seasons and is expected to be a candidate for All Pac 12 honors this season.  Hallandale wr Josh Hammond, who caught all 3 TD's in the first half, was a starter last season for the Gators.  Hallandale rb Zack Moss, who scored 2 TD's in the second half, has been a star rb at Utah and is expected to compete for All-America honors this season after posting back-to-back 1000 yard seasons in 2017 and 2018.

Keep in mind also, that Cedar Grove finished at 11-2-1 and a 24-8 loser in the AAA state semis! And in Georgia unlike Florida, the classifications DO mean a LOT! AAA pales in comparison to 2015 AAAAAA, where Colquitt Co. was the National Champions in two polls.(High School Football America and Prep Force)

Colquitt also lost the first FOUR games of the season that year, including a 34-3 smack down from Roswell. What exactly are those chance you're talking about?

Which goes to show the comparative strengths of the two states! WE also beat 6A State Champion Valdosta, 45-24, while NFL Network was filming a six part series on the MIGHTY CATS! OUR win over them, was comparable to Chandler, Ariz. win over Valdosta, in the State Champions Challenge in Tejas that season! As I reiterated previously, THIS was our weakest team since 2008, Coach ProPst's maiden voyage. Directly after lil Timmy Chokely of NFC fame, attempted to send the Packer program back into the STONE AGE!!

    Colquitt is overrated!

Says a denizen of a state who wouldn't have a top 100 power, without MASSIVE transfers! Keep in mind we were NOT overrated in 2016, when we missed three short FG's, losing to USA TODAY #10 American Heritage, 17-14! Colquitt finished 8-5 that season! We also beat 10-2 Tampa Plant, 40-8! But you boys are just like jackasses! You hafta hit you upside the coconut, to get your attention! BUT HEY, you girls have TWO chances to walk da WALK, instead of talking da talk!

Of the following 7 great FL hs quarterbacks who also played that position in the NFL, only 2 of them ever earned Pro Bowl honors.  Who are they?

    Cardinal Newman-Craig Erickson/UM, C/O 1986

    Fort Walton Beach-Danny Wuerffel/Florida, C/O 1991

    Miramar-Geno Smith/West Virginia, C/O 2008

    Nease-Tim Tebow/Florida, C/O 2005

    *****Northwestern-Teddy Bridgewater/Louisville, C/O 2011

    *****Vanguard-Daunte Culpepper/UCF, C/O 1994

    Westminster Academy-Danny Kanell/FSU, C/O 1991

Are you SURE those are the best that FLAAAWDA has produced? They ain't even better than crappy lil Jawja's, with Cam Newton and Fran Tarkenton!

  5. One a dem thangs, that make ya wanna go HMMMMM! The Georgia High School Association has produced eight QB's, who have won or shared a college National Championship! And only ONE, Buck Belue, won it for UGA! And he NEVER won a high school state title at a place that has TWENTY FOUR, VALDOSTA!!

And as an aside, the three Clemson National Championships, were won by FOUR former Georgia prep QB's! Homer Jordan(1981) Deshaun Watson(2016) and Chase Brice/Trevor Lawrence in 2018!

Glad to see them doing this. Always surprised that this doesn't happen more often. I stand by the fact that I think Week 1, the local pro sports teams should offer up their stadiums for free for the experience.

Except in Georgia, where Arthur Blank has priced the GHSA out of the business of working with the NFL! $600,000 per event, and we are second fiddle to the professional SOCCER team!

What's WRONG wid you lil tykes? You git all apoplectic, when folks aren't blowing smoke up your asses? You ain't as bad as Merryland, NU Jersey, or Californication, but you're CLOSE!

The left coast beach boys told me to go on vacation, after I imparted a lil info that they didn't particularly like about their MIGHTY Trinity League, vs the USA challenge! APPARENTLY, after the pretty boys in Cali talked about laying defending 7A State Champion Milton out, when they trek to SJB in Sept., to play JSerra! Milton coaches were talking about going out there and debunking all the West Coast HYPE! In FACT, there is a decent chance that three of the top ten teams in the country,(from Cali)will be 0-3 after it's over!:)

  8. Given that both teams have been helped out in their time of need, with scheduling of this KOC! He thinks that there is a good chance that a long term home and home series, COULD be in the offing. Starting in the very near future, between these border powers! With the relative close proximity of the two schools, SOUNDS like a match made in HEAVEN, so we'll see! This series COULD partially solve both schools scheduling problems for the future! Especially in Colquitt's case where, due to the GHSA's reluctance to go back to six classifications! Colquitt is left with having only three 7A opponents below HOTLANNA! This necessitates our having to find SEVEN non region opponents every two years! NOT an easy task, where your team appears to be pretty decent on a national level, every season since 2008. In the past decade, we've had to look far and wide, to fill out the schedule! We've played a SOCAL power, the future national champions from Mississippi, the best team in Virginia, the best team in Alabama, two of the perennially top teams in Florida, and one of the best teams in Missouri! So, THIS will definitely help with travel expenses, and potential buyouts in the future!

I guess Columbia fan is still off the board (or at least not posting)?

Regardless of his status, may as well as post their schedule since he has many on this board hyped for the season:

    KOC - vs. Colquitt
WK 1 - vs. Jax Trinity Christian
    Wk 2 - at Oakleaf
Wk 3 - vs. Akelynn's Angels Christian (new team in Winter Haven)
Wk 4 - vs. Pine Forest
    Wk 5 - BYE
    Wk 6 - at Gainesville
    Wk 7 - at Madison
    Wk 8 - at Lee
    Wk 9 - BYE
    Wk 10 - at Middleburg
Wk 11 - vs. North Marion

KOC was originally supposed to be against IMG National until Columbia asked IMG to move the game to Wk 9 to fill what appeared to be a mutual opening. IMG agreed and Columbia sent the contract over.

According to the Jordan Kroeger of the Lake City Reporter, IMG wanted to go back to KOC since its game against St. Frances was indeed going to take place Wk 9 despite belief the IMG-Frances game would not occur this year.

Columbia, reportedly, declined to change it back to KOC as the Colquitt game had already been locked in so now the game against IMG is off and it sounds like, from an interview Columbia's HC gave, the two schools are very unlikely to play at any point in the future.

I read on some board, that he was tired of you girl's bullshit! And took his act to a venue that ain't THIS un!

As an aside, WHY should THIS schedule by hyped at ALL? There doesn't appear to be many obstacles to a PUUUUURFECT season!

Try THIS Colquitt schedule on fer size!

    Columbia Lake City

    7A quarterfinalist North Gwinnett

    AA Quarterfinalist Thomasville

5A state runners up Warner Robins

    6A quarterfinalist Valdosta

    7A quarterfinalist Grayson

    Trinity Christian

    7A semi finalist Lowndes

    7A quarterfinalist Tift Co.

And a reloading 7A Camden Co., that is nearly back to their national power status of the early 2000's. Reports indicate that they had more than 200 varsity players, report for Fall practice.

Usually in Florida Kick off classics are full special teams with JV or two's playing the 4th quarter but like everyone said it is what ever the coaches agree on.  If your fans didn't know then your coaches did a crappy job communicating to every one.  He was probably too busy sleeping with the secretary.

WELL, OUR 2's play in the FIRST quarter of every game! And we see just how badass all those four and five stars are, after they've played seventy plus snaps!

HEY DUMBASS, Coach ProPst has been on suspension, since February! He has since been terminated under false allegations, which are currently being litigated!  And his wife is twice as good looking as your sister! I TRY ta make NICE NICE with your swamp rats! And ALL I git is GRIEF! NANO NANO!

I would say your coaches and AD dropped the ball if you showed up not knowing that.  Coaches talk and decide this stuff weeks before the actual games and they should now to ask because it is standard especially if it was a spring game.

WELL, I confess that I wasn't privy to being that fly on the wall as it were, BUT! It's my understanding that Coach Rogers made the determination prior to GAME TIME! So there's THAT! I don't think that Meridian was all that enthused when they found out, either!
