  1. Good list going here....I think it will grow a little bit more.
  2. Mount Dora head coach Chad Grabowski is leaving Mount Dora for Red Bank High in Tennessee. Grabowski has been the head coach for the Hurricanes the past five seasons where he turned the struggling program around into a winning program. You can read more here and sound off about the change on here.
  3. We are going to be running a live blog on FloridaHSFootball.com for National Signing Day. You can participate with our live blog through the following methods: Tweet us any commitments or signings have taken place by tweeting us at @FlaHSFootball Send photos to us by tweeting at us @FlaHSFootball or emailing them to us at floridahsfootball@gmail.com Once the link is ready you will be to access it here. It will also be mobile friendly meaning you can follow along on your phone, tablet or computer at any time on Wednesday.
  4. As everyone restores their accounts, I will connect back up your old posts through a method that I can do that so your post count will be back to normal. However recreating the accounts will require you to do it first, before I can make the next move.
  5. Charlie Ward has been named the new head coach at Pensacola Washington. This is huge for a program that was once proud in this military city. What are your thoughts on the hire?
  6. In the process of getting the helmet project back up. Since we own the project it is a part of the site.
  7. Looking for your ideas and feedback on what we can do to make our product even better for the Sunshine State. Got a few things rolling around, but fan feedback is always important. Thanks in advance!
  8. This is true, but any team that wants to get better will. Remember this...Santa Fe is the only team in Alachua County with three state championship. Bill Wiles has won it before at Graceville I believe. He has a plan for that program and it seems to be working nicely. Doesn't happen overnight.
  9. Here is a link on the whole thing from Dallas Jackson at NationalHSFootball.com LINK: http://nationalhsfootball.com/2014/01/mark-walton-leaves-booker-t-washington-for-miami-central-amir-rasul-goes-to-washington-from-miami-columbus/
  10. Santa Fe has improved as a team. Santa Fe deserves a chance on this.
  11. Hey man...I will get this all settled, just give me until the end of this week and I will get you and everyone else corrected.
  12. Talked to Santa Fe head coach Bill Wiles just few minutes ago and he has told me that they are finalizing details to play Coffee High in Georgia on Saturday, August 23. This game would be part of the Erk Russell Classic which will be held at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. Once I have more details I will post them here.
  13. They are down to four candidates. You can find more here on our Coaches Moving Van Notebook LINK: http://floridahsfootball.com/2014/01/17/coaches-moving-van-notebook-john-palmer-officially-returning-to-port-st-joe/
  14. The Spruce Creek Hawks are going to go get a big taste of Texas come early September when they will take on Ozen High School located in Beaumont. This information was announced on Spruce Creek's football page on Facebook. According, to our partner TexasHSFootball.com Ozen High School will be a Class 5A school starting with the 2014 season which has an enrollment of 1,162. Texas is currently in the process of realigning its districts for the next two years. Ozen's enrollment numbers would match up to our current Class 5A levels. Ozen was 3-7 in 2013, but they relied on a lot of underclassmen. This matchup could prove out to be a great one for both teams.
  15. Roland hasn't left Central...otherwise that would have been big news.
  16. So West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen tweeted out that Damon Cogdell is coming home back to the school in a tweet just made within the last half hour. It appears that Miramar will be on the hunt for a new head coach very soon.
  17. First reported by us last night, Tenoroc head coach Mike Burns stepped down yesterday after one season on the job. He told me he is pursuing a new opportunity outside of the classroom. Tenoroc will now be seeking its third head coach in as many seasons. Even after our initial tweet, Aimee Sachs from the Lakeland Ledger suggested that the position might not be one that could be easily filled. We will watch to see what happens with the situation at Tenoroc.
  18. Yep and that was part of the news story itself which we mentioned in the article on the main part of the site.
  19. Marion County shook up the Coaches Moving Van today when one coach stepped down and another was hired. Alex Castaneda stepped down at Vanguard this afternoon after five seasons as the coach, however minutes later, North Marion announced it hired Stephen Field as its next head coach. With the Vanguard change, four Marion County schools will have new head coaches for the 2014 season that will also include West Port and Dunnellon.
  20. What a day for the American Heritage Patriots of Plantation. Here are a few links to look back on from the Class 5A State Championship Game: GAME STORY: http://floridahsfootball.com/2013/12/13/american-heritage-routs-clay-for-class-5a-state-championship/ VIDEO INTERVIEW: http://floridahsfootball.com/2013/12/13/american-heritage-head-coach-mike-rumph-talks-about-his-teams-state-championship-victory/ EXTRA SCENE - ICE BATH: http://floridahsfootball.com/2013/12/13/american-heritage-coach-mike-rumph-gets-ice-water-bath/
  21. Since LardBrick has not claimed his/her prize for winning on the pick'ems contest I have decided to pick a winner from anyone who will want to attend one of the games from the names that were entered in the random drawing contest done a week ago. I appreciate everyone who participated, but since this happened and I have waited for over a week for a response, with not even a reply on here, it has been left to my discretion to distribute the unclaimed tickets as I see fit and also to satisfy requirements for Road To Orlando. Josh
  22. That was on the 2A game.....was so glad 1A had a bunch turn out.
  23. Nothing was ever reported by the FHSAA...the numbers were so small they would have been embarrassing. I would say under 500 showed up for the game.
  24. LardBrick I need to hear from you this morning in regards to the prize. Please send me an email as soon as possible. Thanks!
