Due to some other issues on my end, I am canceling pick'ems this week..Some of the games I wanted to include got moved to tonight. We will just pick up another 20 games next week and finish out the season. Thanks for your understanding.

it is has been a very tough week for me as i have been making 100 plus mile round trips from Lake City to Gainesville each day to the VA Hospital. My mother's boyfriend landed in the hospital Sunday night and has been in all week due to a few issues that is also going to change the way I do things as well because I am needed for help and support. As such family first as always. As such there will be no pick'ems this week and if things settle out this weekend, then I should be able to return pick'ems for you guys. This was not an easy decision, but I have just flat ran out of time with a couple of other things needing to get ready for tomorrow night. Hey fbpirate...when Middleburg and Fernandina Beach was in the same district from 2001 and 2002 seasons? I think we beat you guys both years if recall correctly...not 100 percent sure though...I think 2002 we did win that game because we went from 2-8 in 2001, to 5-5 in 2002 and then 8-4 in 2003 before it all crashed in 2004 with an 0-10 season.

My Middleburg Broncos are off this week, but they have something to work with after beating Robert E. Lee last Friday night. I still think they can get two more wins in district play against Englewood and Terry Parker, but I am still not sure if they can get by Orange Park and Ed White. I know no one is getting by Columbia.

Hard to believe we are about to go into Week 5...where is time going? Congrats to gwdrum75 who got 11 of them right, but your's truly here got 13 of them right, but I don't declare myself a winner. Yeah...he is one of the top defensive players in the state and is a verbal to FSU. I have heard some things on the injuries, but until it is solid and concrete I will not post it.

STARaiders2014...you are right about Fleming Island. They will have some work to do, especially if they want to make it back into the playoffs once again this year, otherwise its going to be a very long season.

It is quite sad that the Bulls got slaughtered at the point of attack. I am wondering what will happen when Raines goes down there this week. The fact both teams offensively scored 10 points in their Week 1 opener's doesn't give us much to talk about what each team could actually do on the field.
