They should. The bottom half should go to the SSAA. My hope is half the teams in the FHSAA head over. Make it a defacto Division 1 and Division 2. The FHSAA can be the competitive league and the SSAA can be the developmental league. You move up when you do good, and move down when you don’t. Like soccer in Europe

I looked it up and seen 2 conflicting statements about a loss of down on an ineligible man down field penalty. Here is one I seen so I don’t get accused of fake news Mechanics of the Penalty When the umpire identifies an ineligible downfield penalty, they will throw a flag and announce the penalty. The penalty usually results in a 5-yard penalty and a loss of down. The penalty is enforced from the spot of the foul.

Palmetto has gotta be sick. They had the game locked up. Literally they converted a 1st down to win the game. Kids jumping up and down. The crazy thing was I thought ineligible man down field was a loss of downs. It was 4th down when it happened. But they got to keep the ball. They never clarified if it was a different penalty or not. But whatever the penalty was, it cost them the game

What’s crazy is I didn’t even know the game was being streamed live until I looked up the score because I was waiting for the game to be over so I could put the pick ems with Wiregrass and the winner. Lol.

Man (9-1) Palmetto retook the lead with 3 minutes left 24-21 and (6-4) Largo turned the ball over on downs on their own 20. So Palmetto was up by 3, on Largo’s 20 and Largo only had one timeout left. Palmetto bled the clock down to 50 seconds. On 4th down they complete the pass for the “win” but there was a penalty. The ref said illegal man down field but gave them the ball back. So on 4th and 9 Palmetto did some lame play and turned the ball over on downs. Largo has the ball on their own 20 give or take. After a couple of quick plays they throw a short pass and a freshman takes it 60-70 yards all the way to the house with 21 seconds left; game over Largo 28, Palmetto 24

I found about 13 games so far for sure. It’s not about it being an interesting game. I’m trying to pick games that are a toss up. Games like STA/Ely, Lake Mary/Spruce, Dillard/AHP etc are interesting games but I can’t see anyone choosing the underdog in a pick em.

Round 2 games will be worth 2 points each. The points between rounds 1 and 2 will be totaled up and the top 8 posters will advance to the 3rd round. Ties will go to the higher ranked seed from the regular season

Look at Goleman jumping back into district play and making the playoffs
-
Belt and Azz merge into one being. One entity. Freshman on this team are gonna be at their graduation with Dillard’s belt marks still on their cheeks
-
Glad Dillard is beating the pine tar out of these chumps

Wow that is taught. I knew youth teams like that. It was disgusting. Caused fights. People got hurt. And the worst part about it is it’s for sure taught. Because if a coach didn’t want it to happen it would happen one time and never again because their ass would be benched! So the fact it’s happening in the playoffs means it’s built into them.

With 2 posters not able to make their picks, we are gonna just take the top 8 posters after round 2.

@DILLARDBOYZ954 and @PinellasFB need your picks

In all seriousness if all 16 posters don’t make their picks then we will just take the top 8 posters after the 2nd round
-
Yeah given the fact that I can edit the picks once the thread is locked and choose the winners, I would say it’s definitely rigged against you.

This debacle with PK Yonge is the exact reason these teams don’t even belong in a district. They belong in the SSAA with all the other teams who have zero chance to win state. Why should TC be punished a lose out on a home playoff game because the FHSAA is too incompetent and greedy to consolidate the classes and make it to where only real teams make the playoffs. Not these fake teams who don’t belong. And why is PK Yonge even in a class where they can lose 70-0 in the first round? What a waste
-
The sad thing is coaches in general would never agree to consolidating classes. That means it would be harder to win a title. They wouldn’t care if we had 12 classes. More of a chance to “win” something. So you will never get coaches and ADs on board because their job security depends on their success (most of the time) and watered down playoffs mean better shots at advancing further. “Regional finalist” in a watered down bracket sounds better than 1st round loser in a tough one
