If you let the Georgia posters tell it, it’s one of North Gwinnett’s worst teams in history. But it is impressive to go to Atlanta and take a win from an undefeated 7A team and the refs. Problem is Winter Park’s schedule is so horrible you won’t know much about them until the playoffs.

Columbia ranks teams on how he FEELS. Teams have already played. You should adjust accordingly. Lakeland played one game against a bad team. Meanwhile better teams than Lakeland are beating better teams than their opponents. Let Lakeland earn it.

I can’t rank CAI for the same reason I don’t rank IMG. The rosters are filled with more Non-Floridian players than Florida natives. It would be hypocritical to rank CAI and not IMG. But if I was placing them somewhere I would put IMG around 5th in the state right now, and CAI somewhere in the 20’s

Holy smokes. If Columbia doesn’t beat Deland they will at best go 4-5 like I predicted. They are lucky they have such a horrible 2nd half schedule.

Week 2 in the books. Somerset Prep lost to Somerset-Canyons 33-7 Beachside first win ever vs Fernandina Beach 17-13 BridgePrep lost to Somerset Academy-Homestead 44-0 Riverside Christian lost to fellow first year opponent Impact Christian 38-22 Destin lost to Baker 34-0 Tradition prep off, and Roar Prep off again. First game scheduled 9/15.

Some other Thursday night action. Port St Lucie knock’s off the defending Colorado State Champion Chatfield High 28-17 at Austin Tyndall Sports Complex. The national computer rankings had PSL ranked 246th in FL and Chatfield ranked 26th in Colorado

I’m gonna keep tabs on the new teams that are playing 11 man varsity football for the first time this year.
