  1. I was at that Title game against Norland!! Duke Johnson was a monster. Wakulla didn’t have any answers for him and the defense was too fast. That was the biggest difference. The team speed.
  2. 2 championships and 3 runner ups isn’t bad for a rural county like Wakulla. Think about this. Lee County has 770,000 people and Pinellas County has 975,000 population and neither county has ever won a football state championship. No team. Ever.
  3. So Jones can play top teams all over the state but Winter Park can’t? Gotcha. Hell WP can’t even get the top teams outside of Edgewater to play them apparently.
  4. @Jesse Madison County is 16-12 all time vs Wakulla. Lol
  5. They have played 4 out of state games and went 3-1 as well. 2015 vs Spartanburg,SC 14-42 2015 Cathedral Prep,PA 31-14 2019 Eufaula,AL 35-16 2020 Thomas County Central,GA 29-7 2021 Delaware Valley,PA ???

  8. Both teams consolidated before the 1967 season to form Wakulla County High. They have won 2 state championships in their history. 1980 (12-1) Blountstown 21-0 Florida High 22-0 Marianna 26-42 Jefferson County 38-26 FAMU 20-0 Havana 28-0 Rickards 28-14 Quincy Shanks 14-0 Pt St Joe 18-12 PK Yonge 28-6 (1st round) Century 14-12 (2nd round) Pierson Taylor 20-12 (Finals) Clermont 20-6
  9. Crawfordville and Sopchoppy played every year from 1949-1966 except 1951. I have every result except 1950 and 1957. Sopchoppy dominated the rivalry going 10-5-1. That’s without the two unknown results. 1949 Sopchoppy 77, Crawfordville 0 1949 Sopchoppy 69, Crawfordville 0 1950 unknown 1951 no game 1952 Sopchoppy 53, Crawfordville 0 1953 unknown 1954 Sopchoppy 43, Crawfordville 19 1955 Sopchoppy 12, Crawfordville 7 1956 Crawfordville 12, Sopchoppy 6 1957 Crawfordville 13, Sopchoppy 0 1958 Sopchoppy 21, Crawfordville 0 1959 Tied 13-13 1960 Crawfordville 7, Sopchoppy 6 1961 Sopchoppy 32, Crawfordville 0 1962 Sopchoppy 13, Crawfordville 0 1963 Sopchoppy 26, Crawfordville 0 1964 Sopchoppy 31, Crawfordville 16 1965 Crawfordville 40, Sopchoppy 7 1966 Crawfordville 29, Sopchoppy 0
  10. So it sounds like the coaches at Wp don’t have a desire to challenge themselves especially if they are projected to be really good. They were better than everyone they scheduled besides Edgewater. They are playing a one game schedule. It will be like last year. Lose to Edgewater, lose in the playoffs. No desire to grow and get better
  11. @TRAJAN01 here is some cool Info from Wakulla County Crawfordville High is the first school to field a 6 man team in county history. Sopchoppy High is the first school to field an 11 man team in county history. Crawfordville fielded a 6 man team from 1939-1942. Sopchoppy High fielded a 6 man team from 1940-1941. Crawfordville didn’t play any football from 1943-1948. Sopchoppy didn’t play any football from 1942-1947. Crawfordville played 11 man from 1949-1966 Sopchoppy played 11 man from 1947-1966
  12. I don’t that many schedules right now because it’s freaking a huge secret or you have to pay for it. The FHSAA is one of the worst association in the country in regards to doing what is best for fans, players and coaches.
  13. That’s a really good schedule. What privileges and resources does Jones have to secure that type of schedule that Winter Park is lacking? Besides the desire to schedule tough teams?
  14. What’s the sick obsession that nothing can be criticized? The schedule stinks. The teams outside of Edgewater are just average on a state scale. Everything doesn’t have to be great all the time. You don’t have to try and put lipstick on a pig and enter it in a beauty pageant. If you are trying to give an honest opinion, and it is met with insults, lies, and ignorance, then it’s hard to have an honest debate. The schedule is not good. There is no malice or agenda. And I know you can only get the teams on your schedule if they agree, but that is immaterial and doesn’t take away from the fact that the schedule is bad. And there is no proof unless someone posts a link that WP was actively looking for top teams to schedule.
  15. But these teams are only “decent” because Winter Park isnt that good. They are “decent” If a top ranked team played this schedule it would be the laughingstock. Lake Nona, Lake Brantley, Winter Park, and Lake Mary are not good. They would get a running clock put on them by an elite team. so it is all perspective. If this was Lake Buena Vista schedule it would be pretty tough. Because they will be a first year team and probably pretty bad. If this was STA’s schedule it would be horrible. Perspective.
  16. Who are you and where did you go?
  17. It’s about as middle of the road as it gets. You can’t count the KOC. So the only tough game is Edgewater. Boone and L Brantley are ok. So 1 good team and 2 decent ones It’s actually a horrible schedule when you think about it. I would rate it a D. Edgewater bumps it to an D from an F.
  18. It is to my understanding that three games will be played week 1 and three week 2. All at Austin Tyndall sports complex in Kissimmee
  19. I believe week 1 and week 2
  20. A couple years ago Fairview and Ralston Valley CO both needed opponents. East Lake and Largo both really wanted to play. Both teams were ranked under the CO teams on Maxpreps national rankings from the year prior. Ralston and Dakota said no thanks. Then East Bay and Bloomingdale were interested in not playing each other to go play the Colorado schools. They were not nearly as good but they were decent enough to maybe spring an upset. The CO schools said no thanks. Ralston Valley and Fairview picked Evans and Orlando University. Both games were complete blowouts. Evans finished 1-9 and University finished 2-8. Both Colorado schools finished in the top 20 in their state. that is the general mindset of these traveling teams
  21. Braden River was better than that team. That team was the exception to the rule in regards to having a coach actually challenge his kids. i remember a few years ago I spoke to the coach at Columbine,CO about playing Miami Columbus and he said they were too strong. He picked Orange City University. Columbine went 12-1 and University went 1-9. This is the mentality of these teams
  22. I am from Tampa. I have about 300 plus complete history’s. A lot from the Tally area. i have the complete history for Leon, Lincoln, Godby, Chiles, Rickards, Madison County, Wakulla County, Greensboro, Northside, East Gadsden, West Gadsden off the top of my head
  23. They have been coming in droves since 1998. Most of the Colorado teams spend upwards of $50K for the all inclusive trip that includes flights, ground transportation, food hotels and tickets to Disney. So when you spend that much money, you don’t want to ruin the trip with an ass beating. Lol. Most teams find the worst opponent available to guarantee the win. Not all. Some teams actually challenge their squads. But the majority want that easy win for the cherry on top. I know first hand exactly how the process works. Florida teams interested in playing submit an application about their team. Then the out of state schools receive the applications and choose the team they want to play. They then reach out to the Florida team and if the Florida team agrees they make it happen. If the Florida team doesn’t want to play because the OOS team is too strong they move on to the next Florida team. Like it’s a menu you are ordering from. Problem is we have the dumb coaches in Florida signing their teams up for automatic ass beatings. Teams like Orlando University and Freedom have no business playing top 20 Colorado teams.
  24. Crawfordville first fielded a team (6man) in 1939 and Sopchoppy 1941. I believe it wasn’t until the late 40’s when Crawfordville started with 11 man ball. I’m not at home so I don’t have it in front of me
  25. I have the complete history for Wakulla High football. Crawfordville High consolidated with Sopchoppy High in 1967 to form Wakulla County High School. I even have some history for Crawfordville and Sopchoppy. Both started playing 6 man football back in 1939 and 1941. they played in a 6 man football conference with teams like Florida High, Wewahitchka, Pt St Joe and Jefferson County
