Districts: Jefferson County 5-1A | Madison County 1-3A

Why: The neighboring counties will get together again for a rivalry that is attended well from both ends at the start of the season, but this year things are a bit different. Jefferson County is the defending Class 1A champion while Madison County is the Class 3A runner up. Sure school sizes are a bit different here and Jefferson County was defeated greatly last year, but with most of the experience coming back for the Tigers, the Cowboys will see some pressure. However, though the Cowboys will return with some talent of their own and it will make for interesting night on the field. Expect the game to be closer than last year, but overall this game has more meaning this year than last year for fans in both counties.
