With the districts being small in Classes 2A and 3A, most districts won’t get started with district play until Week 6. However, a few teams are going to get things going this week.
Here are three district games in Classes 2A and 3A to watch in Week 4.
DISTRICT 3A-6
Holy Trinity (2-0, 0-0) at Melbourne Central Catholic (3-0, 0-0)
Skinny: Some thought MCC would be in rebuilding mode, but they are off to a hot start just like Holy Trinity is. This could be a big dog fight down to the wire for sole possession of first place in the district.
DISTRICT 2A-5
Carrollwood Day (1-2, 0-0) vs. Seffner Christian (3-0, 0-0)
Skinny: Seffner Christian has gotten off to a hot start while Carrollwood Day has suffered two serious setbacks. A win for the host Crusaders could have the Patriots on edge for the rest of the season.
DISTRICT 2A-7
St. John Neumann (1-1, 0-0) at Southwest Florida Christian (2-1, 0-0)
Skinny: Neumann has shown they could be potential competitive early in this young season already, but SFCA feels they could be in the playoff mix as well. A win for either team will boost confidence.
