Class 6A football is considered some of the best high school football to watch in Florida and by far considered the most challenging classification as well.
Here are our best district games to watch this week in Week 4.
DISTRICT 6A-4
Englewood (0-3, 0-0) at Middleburg (1-2, 0-0)
Skinny:Despite Englewood being 0-3, this game has been a nail bitter the last three years between these two programs. Middleburg, however, looks more than ready to pick up win No. 2 on the season.
DISTRICT 6A-6
Mitchell (2-0, 0-0) at Springstead (1-1, 0-0)
Skinny:A solid game for both teams as Springstead tries to come back towards the top of the district while Mitchell works to defend its district championship starting with this game.
DISTRICT 6A-7
Brandon (1-2, 0-0) at Blake (2-0, 0-0)
Skinny:Brandon was last year’s district runner-up and is trying to repeat making the playoffs again this season, but Blake is looking ready to throw a wrench into those plans with this game.
DISTRICT 6A-8
Lake Region (2-1, 0-0) at Sebring (2-0, 0-0)
Skinny:Lake Region has gotten off to a hot start and if they come out firing on cylinders, they could give one of the favorites to make the playoffs a run for their money in Sebring.
DISTRICT 6A-9
Boca Ciega (1-0, 0-0) at Clearwater (1-0, 0-0)
Skinny:Both teams are happy to be back on the field after the rough and tumble of weather and a bye week kept them off the fields over the last few weeks. This could be a very decisive game that will help determine the fate of the district next month.
DISTRICT 6A-13
New Smyrna Beach (2-1, 0-0) at Deltona (2-1, 0-0)
Skinny:Deltona made the playoffs last season as the runner-up, but New Smyrna Beach looks like they could be a team that is starting to come back around as a potential contender. A decisive game should be the result in this one.
DISTRICT 6A-14
Eau Gallie (2-1, 0-0) at Palm Bay Heritage (2-0, 0-0)
Skinny:The Commodores are looking to be a darkhorse in the district and they could start here with an upset over Heritage who is still considered one of the district favorites this season.
Okeechobee (2-0, 0-0) at Sebastian River (3-0, 0-0)
Skinny:Both teams are to hot starts and this could be one game that sees both teams play it right down to the wire. However, that Sebastian River defense could be a big problem for Okeechobee.
DISTRICT 6A-16
Miami Norland (3-1, 0-0) at Miami Central (3-0, 0-0)
Skinny:This game might not produce the same close result as it did last season, but any game involving District 16 is one to watch as it is considered the SEC of South Florida football.
