Seminole Ridge extends undefeated streak to 45 games

Class 2A’s No. 1 ranked team, the Seminole Ridge Hawks (Loxahatchee) continued their undefeated streak to 45 games on Monday night with a 21-6 road victory over Everglades (Miramar).

The current win streak dates back to 2015 after coming off a loss in the 2014 FHSAA Flag Football State Championship game against Robinson (Tampa).

According to the Palm Beach Post, Ashley Hollandsworth and Kristi Kemper each scored a touchdown while Ayanna Wiltshire had a pick-six for the Hawks in the win.

Martin County gives up its first points on the season

It was another big win for 2A No. 2 Martin County (Stuart) as they moved 10-0 on the season, defeating 1A No. 14 Fort Pierce Westwood, 25-6, according to TC Palm.

While it was the first points given up by the Tigers in the first 10 games this season, it was still a big night as Elizabeth Moberg threw two touchdown passes while Haleigh Powers had a pick-six return.

Martin County host Jupiter on Thursday evening with a 5:30 p.m. EDT start time.

Robinson shutouts yet another opponent with team-record on interceptions

Class 1A’s No. 1 ranked Robinson Knights (Tampa) add one more win to their already impressive season with a 53-0 thrashing over Spoto that included a team-record eight interceptions being nabbed during the game for the South Tampa team.

QB Olivia Salzman threw for five touchdowns, while Emily Draper has two touchdowns on the night and picked off two of the visiting Spartans passes. However, the biggest stat might be Emily Kemp who added two touchdowns on the night to bring her total on the season to 24 touchdowns.

The win puts the Knight’s at 11-0 on the season with just one game remaining against Alonso at home next Monday night at Jack Peter Field in South Tampa.

Matanzas on a roll

The Matanzas (Palm Coast) Flag Football program keeps on making noise this year and has already made some statements in the process including leading Mainland for the majority of their game last week until the Buccaneers stormed back for the win.

However, for the Pirates, their season is following on the success that boys varsity football team has had over the last couple of years.

After today, the Pirates improved to 6-1 on the season after 22-6 win over crosstown rival, Flagler Palm Coast and is already guaranteed a spot in the district tournament in two weeks.

The Panthers are now 8-2 on the season and guaranteed a spot in the upcoming District 2A-7 tournament in two weeks.
