GAINESVILLE, Fla. — On Thursday, Dr. Roger Dearing will ride off into the sunset of retirement after serving nine years as the ninth Executive Director of the Florida High School Athletic Association. He was recognized for his years of service by the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, which is also based in Gainesville, as well as by the FHSAA Board of Directors.
