Each week during the season we update the Top 25 rankings in Class 2A providing our Top 10 teams as well as provide The Next 15 teams that we have ranked to complete the Top 25 rankings. Information used to determine the rankings include record, quality wins, defeating ranked opponents and strength of schedule. It is important that teams update their information with scores with us on a regular basis each week by emailing us score reports at flag@floridahsfootball.com, sending us a direct message on Twitter @FlaHSFootball or updating scores in the ScoreStream app.  Lack of information (scores) reported by the teams will only hurt their chances of being ranked, especially if they are having a solid season.

1. Alonso (Tampa)
Record: 10-0
Last Week: 1
Quality Wins: Plant, Lincoln, Rickards
The Buzz:
Alonso is one game away from an undefeated regular season if they defeat the defending Class 1A state championship on Monday night. Next week Alonso will enter the District 2A-7 tournament as the No. 1 seed.

2. Seminole Ridge (Loxahatchee)
Record: 8-0
Last Week: 2
Quality Wins: Dwyer, Wellington
The Buzz: The Hawks will close out the season with three non-district games against Pahokee, Glades Central and Everglades after sweeping their district schedule to clinch the No. 1 seed in District 2A-9.

3. Plant (Tampa)
Record:
9-2
Last Week: 4
Quality Wins: Steinbrenner, Riverview (Riverview), Seabreeze, Bloomingdale
The Buzz: Plant will close out the season with a game against Brandon after locking down the No. 2 seed last week with a win over Wharton while picking up a non-district win over Blake.

4. Cooper City
Record:
10-1
Last Week: 3
Quality Wins: Western, Hollywood Hills
The Buzz: Although Cooper City locked up the No. 1 seed in District 2A-13 last week, they did fall 13-0 Godby from Tallahassee. They will close out the regular season with a game at Monarch on Monday night.

5. Dr. Phillips (Orlando)
Record: 9-1
Last Week: 5
Quality Wins: Godby
The Buzz: The Panthers are rolling here shutting out Windermere, Winter Park and University (Orlando). This week only one game remains with a home game against Edgewater before entering the District 2A-3 tournament as the No. 1 seed.

6. St. Cloud
Record:
10-0
Last Week: 6
Quality Wins: Florida High, Leon
The Buzz: St. Cloud has kept the undefeated streak alive with two more wins over Liberty (Kissimmee) and Osceola (Kissimmee) to lock up the No. 1 seed in the South Subdistrict with a big game later this week with another ranked team in Harmony.

Record: 8-0
Last Week: 7
Quality Wins: Boca Raton
The Buzz: The Cobras locked down the No. 1 seed overall in District 2A-10 last week to stay undefeated on the season. Big games with Martin County and Wellington lurk among three remaining games left for the season.

8. Piper (Sunrise)
Record: 9-0
Last Week: 9
Quality Wins: Western
The Buzz:
Piper picked up one more win to stay undefeated on the season and is the No. 1 seed going into next week’s District 2A-12 tournament. Games against Taravella and Blanche Ely will close out the week.
