GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Ten weeks of football is in the books and the FHSAA has updated the playoff point averages for all teams in all classifications for the final time this season leading to Sunday’s bracket reveal.
As such with this latest update, the playoff picture is starting to become much clearer, but there are still areas where things can drastically change based upon this week’s final regular season games.
In Classes 5A-8A, district record was taken into consideration except on certain exceptions which are noted.
For Class 6A, you will find a breakdown of point averages for each team in every region and a projected seeding (including tiebreakers) based upon the guidelines as published by the FHSAA (click here to view), as well as quick thoughts about each region.
NOTE: Teams in RED have clinched their district championship

Navarre rises up to the No. 1 seed after Niceville fell to claim the District 6A-3 championship going down to the No. 5 seed. Crestview takes over the No. 3 seed while Escambia moves from the No. 5 seed to the No. 6 seed. Gulf Breeze and Pace round out the final two seeds. It will come down to St. Augustine and Ed White to decide who will represent District 6A-4 in the playoffs when the final points are calculated.

QUICK THOUGHTS: Another week of changes here in this region with Mitchell and Lake Wales trading spaces as all four districts have locked in district champions. However, the bigger changes are in the wildcards with Lake Weir falling out of the top eight, but they are still very much in the hunt depending on results this week with South Lake, Sebring and Chamberlain all being factors on top of Lake Weir’s result.

QUICK THOUGHTS: Another region where three of the four district champions are locked in with Largo appearing to be the leader to outright win the District 6A-9 tiebreaker based upon points. Fort Myers moves down to the No. 3 seed with Naples taking the No. 2 seed. Barron Collier all for sure looks like a lock and likely will finish with the No. 5 or No. 6 seed. After that North Fort Myers, Lehigh and Clearwater are in the final three spots, but there a couple of teams on the outside that still have a chance based upon this week’s results.

QUICK THOUGHTS: With all the districts in this region having declared district champions, it is who will be in at the wildcard spots. Right now, it is a for sure lock Miami Central will be the No. 5 seed, but after that, it is wide open with Eau Gallie, Miami Northwestern and New Smyrna Beach rounding out the top eight. However, Jensen Beach still could have a chance depending on the results from games this week.
