Last Four Meetings
2012: West Nassau 27, Palatka 21
2011: Palatka 20, West Nassau 14
2010: West Nassau 29, Palatka 19
2009: West Nassau 35, Palatka 21
Key Players: West Nassau: WR Chaz Davis (2021), OT Trey McCullough (2021), DE Michael Thorn (2022); ILB Carson Murray (2021); Palatka: DB O’Marion Wilson (2021); LB Shemar Curry (2021), OL Daunte Wilkerson (2021)
Skinny: This will be the first meeting between both teams in Northeast Florida in eight years. And in each of the last four meetings, both have been competitive on the field. The hope is that this meeting is going to be no different for both the Warriors and Panthers. Both teams come in with the loss of considerable key pieces of talent that made the Class 4A All-State teams last year. However, at least one of them has guys ready to step in with West Nassau returning several key guys who were contributors last year including receiver Davis (592 receiving yards, 6 TDs), tackle McCullough (an All-First Coast selection), defensive end Thorn among others as well that have experience. For the host Panthers, they are going to have seen some younger guys step up, but one bright spot is Wilson who made his presence known on the defense. Wilson will be expected to lead after the loss of William King due to graduation.
