North Florida Christian Eagles (2-0) at No. 24 Florida High Seminoles (3-0)
When: Friday
Where: Mike Hickman Field, Tallahassee
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
Skinny: The visiting Eagles are coming off a 41-0 win over Maclay where the Eagles just dominated in all phases of the game. Quarterback Brayden Phillips (2021) will be one to watch who went 8-of-17 passing for 142 yards and two touchdowns while ATHLET Deandrae McCray (2021) combined for 149 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns as well. Defensively Trooper Price (2023) will lead the way once again after having a huge night on defense with 15 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks that were amongst the five collected by the Eagles last week. For the host Seminoles, they are coming off a 27-14 win last week over Columbia, which was a game that was scheduled at the last minute as both teams were in need of a game due to cancellations. Quarterback Tre Donaldson (2022) had a solid night going 11-of-15 passing for 130 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 141 more yards on 14 carries. Defensively, there were four sacks collected, but the biggest impact was interception with the team having five interceptions against Columbia including two picked off by Donovan Burns (2023). Overall, it was the defense that won them the game last week and will be looking to do the same against a crosstown foe this week.
