With the Sunshine State Athletic Conference playoffs getting underway tonight, here is a look at our predictions for the AAAA & AAA Championship brackets in 11-Man football.
AAAA BRACKET
No. 8 Fort Myers Gateway Charter (3-5) at No. 1 Orlando Lake Highland Prep (8-0), Friday, 7 p.m. ET – This could be a lopsided matchup as Gateway Charter is in the AAAA bracket thanks to their strength of schedule. FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM PICK: Lake Highland Prep
No. 5 Oviedo Master’s Academy (4-4) at No. 5 Orlando Central Florida Christian Prep (6-1), Friday, 7 p.m. ET – This is a game that could go either way and both teams have playmakers that will make some noise, but the edge is going to favor the host. Look for more in a preview on Friday on FloridaHSFootball.com. FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM PICK: Central Florida Christian
No. 7 Bradenton Saint Stephen’s Episcopal (3-4) at No. 2 Mount Dora Christian (6-1), Friday, 7 p.m. ET – This is another game that could be lopsided as Mount Dora Christian has been dominant this year in most games with their only loss being to No. 1 Lake Highland Prep. FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM PICK: Mount Dora Christian
No. 6 Ocoee Legacy Charter (7-1) at No. 3 Jupiter Christian (6-1), Thursday, 7 p.m. ET – This is a game that has some strong talent and all we know is the Eagles are going to win here in this one, but we might give the home Eagles the nudge in this one. FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM PICK: Jupiter Christian
AAA BRACKET
No. 8 Lakeland Santa Fe Catholic (5-2) at No. 1 Oak Hall (6-1), Friday, 7 p.m. ET – This game could be fairly uneven given Oak Hall has played a tougher strength of schedule where Santa Fe Catholic has played only two teams with winning records and lost both of them. FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM PICK: Oak Hall
No. 5 Lecanto Seven Rivers Christian (6-2) at No. 4 Jacksonville Eagle’s View (6-2), Friday, 7 p.m. ET – Seven Rivers Christian strength of schedule has been weaker compared to the one that Eagle’s View has played, but this game be competitive with the edge going to the host Warriors. FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM PICK: Eagle’s View
No. 7 Jacksonville Bishop Snyder (4-3) at No. 2 Vero Beach St. Edward’s (5-2), Thursday, 7 p.m. ET – The schedules of both teams have been even this season, but St. Edward’s has been talked about more about what they have done compared to a year ago. FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM PICK: St. Edward’s.
No. 6 Fort Myers Canterbury (3-2) at No. 3 Christ’s Church Academy (5-3), Friday, 7 p.m. ET – Canterbury hasn’t played as many games as Christ’s Church this season and that could really make it ugly. FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM PICK: Christ’s Church Academy
