Nine weeks are in the books for the 2021 Florida high school football season and the FHSAA has released their latest look at the RPI football playoff rankings as we head into Week 10 of the season.
As such this update provides the entire state a glimpse of what the potential playoff matchups could be looking like come the second week of November, but remember things change, as we still have three weeks worth of games (including this week) to go, however, the playoff picture is starting to become much more clearer with few games left.
In Classes 5A-8A, district record was taken into consideration except on certain exceptions which are noted.
For Class 3A, you will find a breakdown of RPI rankings for each team in every region and a projected seeding (including tiebreakers) based upon the guidelines as published by the FHSAA (click here to view), as well as quick thoughts about each region.
REGION 1
| Rank | Team | Record | RPI |
| 1 | Florida High | 6-1 | 0.647 |
| 2 | Trinity Catholic | 5-2 | 0.642 |
| 3 | Walton | 8-1 | 0.631 |
| 4 | Episcopal | 6-2 | 0.595 |
| 5 | Crescent City | 6-3 | 0.585 |
| 6 | Pensacola Catholic | 5-3 | 0.568 |
| 7 | P.K. Yonge | 5-3 | 0.563 |
| 8 | Interlachen | 3-5 | 0.491 |
| 9 | Maclay | 3-4 | 0.464 |
| 10 | Providence | 3-5 | 0.456 |
PROJECTED REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL PAIRINGS
No. 1 Florida High – BYE
No. 5 Crescent City vs. No. 4 Episcopal
No. 6 Pensacola Catholic vs. No. 3 Walton
No. 2 Trinity Catholic – BYE
QUICK THOUGHTS:Â The only change that comes about this week in this region is that Episcopal and Crescent City have trade spots among the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds. However, keep an eye on P.K. Yonge as they are sitting No. 7 in the region, but are knocking on the door for that possible No. 6 seed.
REGION 2
| Rank | Team | Record | RPI |
| 1 | Lakeland Christian | 8-0 | 0.675 |
| 2 | Benjamin | 5-3 | 0.616 |
| 3 | The First Academy (Orlando) | 5-2 | 0.545 |
| 4 | Frostproof | 5-3 | 0.512 |
| 5 | Windermere Prep | 3-5 | 0.454 |
| 6 | Lake Placid | 4-5 | 0.446 |
| 7 | Melbourne Central Catholic | 1-7 | 0.383 |
| 8 | Avon Park | 2-5 | 0.383 |
| 9 | Cornerstone Charter | 0-6 | 0.345 |
| 10 | Trinity Prep | 0-8 | 0.324 |
PROJECTED REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL PAIRINGS
No. 1 Lakeland Christian – BYE
No. 5 Windermere Prep vs. No. 4 Frostproof
No. 6 Lake Placid vs. No. 3 The First Academy
No. 2 Benjamin – BYE
QUICK THOUGHTS:Â There are no shifts this week in the region as everything remains the same from last week’s rankings. At this point, all the teams in the Top 6 are likely the six teams that will represent Region 2 in the playoffs.
REGION 3
| Rank | Team | Record | RPI |
| 1 | Berkeley Prep | 8-0 | 0.667 |
| 2 | Bishop Verot | 5-3 | 0.639 |
| 3 | Clearwater Central Catholic | 5-3 | 0.626 |
| 4 | Carrollwood Day | 6-2 | 0.612 |
| 5 | Tampa Catholic | 5-2 | 0.588 |
| 6 | Cardinal Mooney | 6-3 | 0.562 |
| 7 | Calvary Christian (Clearwater) | 3-5 | 0.544 |
| 8 | St. Petersburg Catholic | 4-4 | 0.523 |
| 9 | Oasis | 2-6 | 0.375 |
| 10 | Gateway (Fort Myers) | 1-7 | 0.349 |
PROJECTED REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL PAIRINGS
No. 1 Berkeley Prep – BYE
No. 5 Cardinal Mooney vs. No. 4 Carrollwood Day
No. 6 Tampa Catholic vs. No. 3 Clearwater Central Catholic
No. 2 Bishop Verot – BYE
QUICK THOUGHTS:Â Bishop Verot made a climb into the No. 2 spot this week after getting a huge win over Cardinal Mooney who dropped to the No. 6 spot after the loss. With Bishop Verot at No. 2, Clearwater Central Catholic falls to No. 3 this week while Tampa Catholic moves up to No. 5. It would be hard-pressed at this point if anyone is going to catch Berkeley Prep for the No. 1 seed.
REGION 4
| Rank | Team | Record | RPI |
| 1 | Chaminade-Madonna | 6-1 | 0.787 |
| 2 | Florida Christian | 7-0 | 0.677 |
| 3 | Cardinal Newman | 7-2 | 0.612 |
| 4 | King’s Academy | 6-2 | 0.573 |
| 5 | Palmer Trinity | 4-2 | 0.536 |
| 6 | Miami Edison | 4-3 | 0.532 |
| 7 | Saint Andrew’s | 4-4 | 0.522 |
| 8 | Somerset South Homestead | 3-3 | 0.515 |
| 9 | Westminster Christian | 3-5 | 0.473 |
| 10 | Somerset Silver Palms | 3-4 | 0.466 |
| 11 | Everglades Prep | 1-5 | 0.421 |
| 12 | Inlet Grove | 2-7 | 0.412 |
| 13 | St. John Paul II (Boca Raton) | 0-7 | 0.362 |
PROJECTED REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL PAIRINGS
No. 1 Chaminade-Madonna – BYE
No. 5 Palmer Trinity vs. No. 4 King’s Academy
No. 6 Miami Edison vs. No. 3 Cardinal Newman
No. 2 Florida Christian – BYE
QUICK THOUGHTS: The biggest change this week comes in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots as Palmer Trinity rises up to the No. 5 seed while Miami Edison has crossed back into the playoff mix as the No. 6 seed with Somerset South Homestead falling from No. 5 to No. 8.
