Time for more national rankings.
NationalHSFootball.com, which is releasing its preseason HSFB100 rankings, has ranked the No. 51 through No. 100 teams this weekend with several Florida teams claiming a spot on those rankings.
Rankings released on Saturday included teams from 75-100 with Lakeland leading off the group. The Dreadnaughts which enters the 2015 season after being ousted early from the playoffs for a third consecutive season, will likely have one of the best defenses it has had in a while, but the schedule does remain one that will have to be watched.
Other teams lurking around in the rankings so far include Manatee, which will bring a core group of players back although some question marks remain. Other teams like Dr. Phillips which toughens it schedule and Cocoa will have some serious national competition on it schedule as well.
Florida teams ranked No. 51- No. 75 (released today):
56. Coconut Creek
63. Dr. Phillips
72. Wakulla
74. Cocoa
Florida teams ranked No. 76- No. 100 (released Saturday):
76. Lakeland
80. Manatee
Teams ranked from No. 26-No. 50 will be released tomorrow while No. 1-No. 25 will be released on Tuesday.
