  1. I understand it as well. You have to do what you have to do. That is just the way it is down in SFLA.
  2. I see BTW making it to states in 4A. Now is Cocoa going North this year? If they are then BTW will definitely be in Orlando while Cocoa and Bolles battle it out up North. If not then Cocoa might get their revenge change vs BTW and truthfully I could see Cocoa winning that game. Came damn close last season.
  3. My parents both attended Stranahan(my dad was moved out after freshmen year when Plantation HS opened). It is sad because I've seen these schools that desperately need repairs and the politics that go on are a joke. To me I don't care what race dominates a school. It should be up to standards. Period end of story....sadly not all in FL think that or else Stranahan and other schools wouldn't have those problems.
  4. What angers me about IMG is they had the audacity to ask the state for I think 2 million dollars in the budget and they were going to get it until the Governor said no. How can you honestly give that school $2 million when we have schools like Stranahan in SFLA who are falling apart at the seems and cannot even get money to put new roofs on. That is a joke.
  5. I don't think DLS would've won 50 in a row playing in South Florida at that time of their streak. Too many good teams and too much talent. They played and still play no one up in Northern California
  6. I have to agree. They are possible losses, however those kids at BTW know how to play. They won't just be rolling over for either STA or Central I know that.
  7. That is a little surprising if coaches are having to stop kids from transferring. I know they lost a lot to graduation, but I still expect them to be a very good team this season. However, if there is ever a time for Central to not just beat BTW, but win a national title this is the year.
  8. STA by 4 over BTW. However, would not shock me to see BTW win. Either way it'll be a very close game and I cannot wait!!!
  9. Not sure. Sadly we'll never know. Columbia and Carol City were both awesome. Great coaching and great athletes along with fantastic fans. However, I don't know. We can look at DLS but they played such soft competition in Northern Cali it's tough to know if they really would've lost.
  10. Independence played a couple SC powers, but nothing else. Even those SC schools were not exactly the strongest bunch then. However I agree we'll never see 151 unless you are playing no one. I too hope the Burger King games keep growing. It was an awesome event!
  11. Mater Academy is a very young program, but has some upside. As for why he left I have heard a number of stories, but I am not going to speculate on a public forum out of respect for the parties involved. What is certain is that something happened and he left. What that is I do not know and it could be anything. However, Roger Harriott is in control now and I am excited to see where he can take us!
  12. I feel the same way. I wish it was played last year, but at least theyre playing now
  13. It probably will be. I believe they finished 3rd last season in the final Max Preps poll.
  14. They have not released it yet. It will be released tomorrow.
  15. Is Corky there? If the answer is Yes then they will be pretty darn good. And he is there so I expect Bolles to be right in the thick of the state title race up North once again.
  16. This is what I have been told about Carol City. I expect the Cheifs to be runners up in that district to Central. However, doesn't Central by DeMatha? As well as BTW. Those are going to be very big games and will really tell where Central is in terms of how dominant they can be this season.
  17. Miami Central was #2 a couple of seasons ago when they met Booker T Washington at Traz Powell. This season they come in #2 again. The Rockets have won 3 straight 6A titles and look primed to win their 4th in a row and an enter extremely elite category should they do that. As only Live Oak Suwanee from 1987-90 and North Florida Christian from 1998-2001(I think) have ever 4 peated in Florida. Can they do it? Or will a very highly ranked Daytona Beach Mainland team end their hopes and finally get over the hump and make it to Orlando in 2015?
  18. Flanagan checks in at #9 in the country and #3 in the state behind IMG Academy(#7) and Miami Central(#2). My question is can they live up to this ranking? 8A in the south seems to be a toss up. In 2012, we had Cypress Bay come out of the South and damn near win it losing 50-48 to Apopka in one of the most exciting games I have ever seen. In 2013 we had South Dade shock a lot of people, go 14-1 and win it all in 8A. Then in 2014, we had Columbus come out of the south only to lose to Apopka in Orlando. Can Flanagan bring the 8A title back to South Florida?
  19. Let me correct myself. It was really a 20 year reign for Southridge I forgot about their title appearance vs Lincoln in 1999. @Mrslick09 you are right once Miramar was out I began to look at Columbus. Flanagan to me...I don't know man. They are very highly ranked nationally, but I don't know if they have what it takes to win it all in 8A.
  20. Not sure a ton of people were picking Columbus to come out of the south in 8A last year either. I know some were, but not many.
  21. You know I remember that now. Wrong person to ask lol. I personally think Central, BTW are both dynasties and here is why: It is so tough to win consistantly in the city of Miami. We saw Southridge do it for many years in the 80s-90s. Along with Northwestern and Carol City in the mid to late 90s. However, both BTW and Central have it seems better people in place to sustain their run longer than Northwestern and Carol City did. Southridge was over the course of 15 years so that will be hard to top. Also when you look at how BTW has built their 41 game winning streak on two coaches that is impressive and are about to try and continue it with a 3rd. Central I believe has changed coaches during the past three years once as well(I may be wrong and confusing them with another team please correct me if I am).
  22. Do you consider Live Oak Swuanne(spelled wrong) a dynasty because they won 4 in a row from 87-90 then were irrelevant until about 10 years later.
  23. Yes Booker T can beat both, but will they is the question. Obviously even though Harriott is a proven winner there are still some questions with him being in Year 1 at Aquinas. However, Aquinas can also beat BTW too. The game being at Aquinas is a big help to the Raiders. As for Central I think that will be a very tough game, but BTW can win that one just as much as they can lose it. Aquinas, BTW, and Central are three very evenly matched teams this season.
  24. I agree I know both teams are great, but I'd love to see another matchup in the 6A title game
