  1. In the Jacksonville area who would you all say are the best. Obviously Bolles with Corky Rogers speaks for itself. I'll throw in Raines and Mandarin. I don't know what's going on with First Coast but they were most definitely a shocker for me last year. Well and I'm sure we're all in aggrence that First Coast wasn'the beating Central didn't expect blowout though.
  2. My winners Central Booker T. Washington American Heritage Carol City Southridge Coral Gables Jackson Boys Anderson Miramar Mater Academy
  3. @Zoe Boy See I read this wrongoing. I thought it was top 10 from each county not match ups
  4. Miami Central Booker T. Washington Carol City Southridge Columbus South Dade Coral Gables Jackson Northwestern Mater Academy Charter Broward St. Thomas Aquinas American Heritage (Plantation) Chaminade-Madonna Deerfield Beach Flanagan Boyd Anderson Dillard Hallandale Miramar Plantation
  5. St. Thomas vs Booker T. Washington game. Despite how the game ended last year 35-3, I think this time around it will be closer and maybe even a win for them F-5 Tornadoes.
  6. Soul Bowl Game Miami Northwestern vs Miami Jackson. History of this rivalry dates back to the 1940's when D.A Dorsey would play Booker T. Washington, then in 1955 Dorsey become a educational school and Northwestern opened. 1955 started the Northwestern vs Booker T. Washington game. 1967 Northwestern and Jackson started the rival and still in existence. Jackson started out as an all white school but when segregation ended blacks were sent to Jackson, thus making it a majority black school hitting the 70's Overtown area split into 3 schools Jackson, Miami high and Miami Beach but I think the volk of the of them went to Jackson. Biggest attendance record was in 1998 Soul Bowl 1 and 2. Soul Bowl 1 46,474 and Soul Bowl 2 35,000. Northwestern existence 1955 Jackson existence 1898 but by 1939 it was officially a high school dropping all other grade levels. Northwestern leads series 32-14
  7. Not a long rivalry but been playing each other since 2008 Miami Central vs Booker T. Washington. Series is 8-3 Central leads. I believe one year they played and it just continued until one point they were both number 1 and 2 in the state and one year both were in the top 10 in the country. Miami Central existence 1959 5 state title's and 7-3 OOS record Booker T. Washington existence 1926 5 state title's, 7-2 OOS record and a national title 2008 44-38 Btw won 2009 18-12 Central won 2010 17-0 Central won 2011 29-26 Central won 2012 37-26 Central won 2013 28-17 Btw won 2014 21-20 Btw won 2015 35-28 Central won
  8. Never heard of the soap bowl. Who plays in that, which city is it in and when was it's existence.
  9. I'm surprised none of you are mentioning Gulliver Prep. The Raiders are now independent so who would wanna still play for them, unless they really don't have super star talent on the team which is why there not worth mentioning.
  10. I got a question since Gulliver Prep is now independent and HML took its place who do you all see as the runner up spot. Obviously Booker T. Washington will be district champs.
  11. When did all of these rivals start
  12. When did these rivals start
  13. My personal opinion on Miramar is the coaching staff. South Florida is completely different or maybe it's the same being that I rarely keep up with Central, North and the panhandle. But yeah if you don't have the right coaching staff you won't go far. When we had Cogdell we went to states twice and pretty much owned the district except for the old glory days of Cypress Bay. Talent was consistently coming in and out. When Cogdell left we stayed optimistic but things just went worser being disqualified from the playoffs and the next year not making the playoffs. Don't you all remember how good Northwestern was, shoot you couldn't beat them to save your life and not look at them. My point is without a good coach you won't make it far.
  14. Miramar is not the same as they used to be and steadily going down. Nick Saban himself would have to be the new coach for them to get back to relivience.
  15. Miami Central Rockets 8-20 Royal Palm Beach 8-27 East Ridge 9-2 Killian 9-10 First Coast 9-16 Norland 9-24 BookerT. Washington 9-30 Carol City 10-8 Jackson 10-14 Northwestern
  16. Well for HML I guess they'll be fighting for the district runner up spot.
  17. @Zoe Boy I seen that but then I'm like what about Gulliver Prep that's a district game. I guess the change from 6A to 4A would explain why HML schedule isn't out yet.
  18. Just thought I'd name a few Miami Jackson Generals 8-26 Columbus 9-2 Bolles 9-10 Booker T. Washington 9-16 Cardinal Gibbons 9-30 Hallandale 10-8 Central 10-14 Stranahan 10-21 American Heritage (Plantation) 10-28 Coconut Creek 11-4 Northwestern (Soul Bowl) Booker T. 19. Ideally yes. Central in 8A would hands down be just like 6A and be in Orlando or now Daytona Beach every year. The problem is enrollment. Central is roughly between 1800-1850 and if Central was asked as a special thing fhsaa would do for them I think the Rockets wouldn't accept.
  20. I'll do South Florida 4A. Two are independent schools but I think 4A would be a good fit. Miami Edison Pace Gulliver Prep Keys Gate Charter Coral Shores Key West Inlet Grove
  21. Because of enrollment Central can't be placed in 8A.
  22. With all this talent Deerfield Beach is getting is the coaching staff there. It's been countless of times where a team has the potential and then you're sitting back like huh.
  23. I see you missed the Miami schools let me feel them in. I added in Hialeah-Miami Lakes and Central. Maybe this could be a potential 7A and have two brackets being that it's 11 teams. Miami Central Miami Springs Miami Sunset Westland Hialeah Barbara Goleman South Miami Ronald W. Reagan Doral Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Doral Academy Mater Academy Charter Hialeah-Miami Lakes
