  1. Here is a list of Glades Central wins this year with the opponents record:

    Royal Palm Beach 4-3

    Palm Beach Lakes 0-7

    Palm Beach Central 0-6

    Somerset Academy 0-6

So essentially outside American Heritage Delray and Delray Atlantic who outscored Glades Central a combined 61-20 it appears Glades Central has a little bit of the Bully Syndrome right now.  They are beating down horrendous teams that are a combined 4-22 this year and get slaughtered by 2 good teams that are combined 10-2 on the year.

I can assure you this MNW, MC, STA and even Jackson are no where near the Somerset Academies of the world....

  2. I am not sure if Plantation will beat Dillard . But right now - Plantation's losses are to Flanagan and STA. I think their wins are are also against better teams than what Dillard has beaten. Winning @ Miramar , with Miramar's back to the wall was a good win.
Boyd Anderson beat Dillard pretty soundly and Coconut Creek slaughtered *Boyd Anderson. I don't think Dillard would match up well vs. Coconut Creek. Everything Boyd Anderson is- Coconut Creek does better. I think Creek is a similar team to Boyd Anderson but just a better version.
Dillard very well could beat Plantation and I will adjust accordingly but for now I will leave it as is.

Definitely better than the Palm Beach list but Boyd Anderson is a better team than Piper and McArthur.  Don't be surprised if Stoneman Douglas beats Piper this weekend, and I doubt it will happen but I wish McArthur would get exposed.  After this week I predict Dillard could be back in and if Archbishop McCarthy wins @ North Broward Prep they will 7-0 and have beaten two schools on the road (@University School and @ North Broward Prep) that are better than any single win McArthur has this year (Taravella, Western, Northeast, South Broward, and West Broward this week).  I would say Sun Sentinel would have no way to deny Archbishop McCarthy has a more impressive 7-0 than McArthur's 7-0!

Dillard and Cardinal Gibbons are knocking at the door, as is Coral Springs Charter and University School! Chaminade Madonna, Miramar, and Cypress Bay not far behind as well!  McArthur must go!

I saw Archbishop McCarthy play last night.  This is a very good team and would absolutely blast a team like McArthur.  2 Very fast running backs just gutting behind wedge blocks and traps.  Archbishop McCarthy very sound win @ North Broward Prep and they go to 7-0.  McArthur is finally exposed and loses to West Broward.  Thank you West Broward.  So perhaps Stoneman Douglas will upset  Piper Friday night and if Dillard and Boyd Anderson win, the 8, 9, 10 next week may look like Boyd Anderson, Dillard and Archbishop McCarthy.  Hopefully McArthur is a team of the past in the top 25....ughhemmm...I mean Sun Sentinel top 10.

Does anybody else think Stoneman Douglas can upset @ Piper?

  6. @BROWARD AND @SLICK I respect both of you guys take on why dillard wouldn't beat carol city ...for what its worth though carol city and dillard met in the 7on7 dolphins championship and carol city edged dillard 30-28 on a controversial td by carol city in the final second to win it.

As I said earlier this week if dillard played like they did last week you right dillard WILL NOT beat carol city but that's the thing though it wasn't that dillard couldn't match boyd Anderson offense dillard has to stop playing so sloppy 150 yards in penalties??? your opponent AVG starting field position was at your 40?? you will lose 8/10 times with those 2 stats alone.!!!

the ONLY reason why I wont count out dillard vs carol city is because the talent dillard have and as SLICK know dillard can never be counted out dillard was 28.!!!!! point underdogs was central was good like this in 2013 and we had a slight worse q.b at the time and we had just lost 50-0 to a 4-5 ely team.! but guess what this same coaching staff got it together and they won the game vs central was actually up 21-0 at the half and dillard has a far better team this year. so we just have to wait and see and take it one game at a time still a long season to go.

Definitely not counting Dillard out.  I just think when a team is more battle tested it can play a role in the playoffs and it is a little advantage.  If Dillard plays their best game (low penalties and few mistakes)  , they can hang for sure.  I just would not to want on the Dillard QB to bail me out vs. Central or Carol City...

Here is the latest on the Flanagan @ Miramar fiasco written by Dave Brousseau of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel

More @FootballMiramar fallout: Coach Pierre Senatus suspended for Cypress Bay game

Miramar football coach Pierre Senatus will sit out the Patriots' game at Cypress Bay on Friday after he was suspended for one game following fines and suspensions levied against his team Monday.

Miramar principal Maria Formoso, who on Monday declined to suspend the coach at the urging of Broward Schools athletic director Damien Huttenhoff, confirmed Wednesday she later banned Senatus for one game.

Huttenhoff advised Formoso, who took over as principal little more than a year ago, to suspend Senatus for up to three games for his apparent lack of control over his coaching staff Friday, when Miramar hosted Flanagan in what devolved into a penalty-ridden game marred by unsportsmanlike conduct violations and multiple ejections.

The Florida High School Athletic Association on Monday banned Patriots defensive coordinator A.J. Scott for one game and defensive line coach Josh Taylor for six weeks after the two were ejected in the fourth quarter of Miramar's loss to Flanagan.

Even before the game started, Miramar was flagged for not shaking hands with Flanagan players during the coin toss. Later, Miramar’s Owen Carney was ejected after an official witnessed the junior defensive end elbowing Flanagan coach Devin Bush in the back. The FHSAA suspended Carney from all sports for one year.

Senatus, a long-time defensive coach at Booker T. Washington before landing his first head coaching job at Miramar in January, confirmed his suspension Wednesday, but would not comment further.

Athletic director Alex Francois declined to say who would replace Senatus on the Miramar sideline on Friday.

    Special to the Miami Herald

Fallout from the contentious Miramar-Flanagan game on Friday continues.

Miramar first-year coach Pierre Senatus was suspended for one game by the school, according to a report in the Sun Sentinel.

The suspension comes two days after the Patriots received a $750 fine, a year-long suspension for junior defensive end Owen Carney, a six-game suspension for assistant coach Josh Taylor and a one-game suspension for defensive coordinator A.J. Scott.

The report states that Miramar principal Maria Formoso on Wednesday banned Senatus for Friday’s district game against Cypress Bay after originally declining to suspend him at the urging of Broward County Athletic Association athletic director Damien Huttenhoff on Monday for apparent lack of control over his coaching staff during the 31-6 loss to Flanagan.

In a copy obtained by the Miami Herald of the report filed by BCAA official Stevan N. Torres from the District 12-8A matchup, Torres states that first Scott was ejected for not leaving the field when asked to do so after arguing a call on a Flanagan touchdown. Torres then claims that Taylor used profane language after Scott’s ejection and was ejected as well. Upon asking for his name, Torres says Taylor told him, “I don’t have a [expletive] name.â€

Torres’ report also indicated that Senatus complied in directing his two ejected coaches to the locker room upon Torres’ request.

Miramar athletic director Alex Francois declined to comment or confirm the suspension when reached by phone.

Senatus did not answer or return multiple phone calls.

  10. Plantation goes into this game at the top of a very competitive 8A District 12.  Winner of this game will likely take over full control of the District going forward.  Loser will have to battle and fight to hold on to that #2 spot.  Overall, Plantation has only been stopped by STA and pretty much steamrolled everything else in their path.  Plantation might be a better rounded and more balanced team than Flanagan right now, but Flanagan's Defense has pretty much been a unbreakable outside yellow flags this year.  The return of Flanagan's QB Kato Nelson last week vs. Miramar was just as beneficial for the  Defense as backup QB Stanford Samuels returned full time to his natural DB position and actually came up with a huge pick 6 for Flanagan sealing the game.   With Flangan's Offense likely getting a little better this week and the Defense playing the way it is-  it will be an interesting to see how well Flanagan can stop the  Plantation physical ground and pound offense.  Not much have phased the Dirty Birds Defense this season however Plantation both offensively and defensively  find ways to light up the scoreboard.  Plantation has quietly put 48 on Cardinal Gibbons, 42 on Ely (Ely , 20 on STA , 20 on Miramar, 21 on Cypress Bay, and 53 on well Everglades... I think Plantation's Defense is solid enough to hold Flanagan to 24ish.  Should be a close one, but I think Flanagan takes this game at home in the 24-20 range.

  11. I think Columbia has it's hands full in this one.  I hope Columbia over the two week bye corrected their own mistakes but also prepared for that Wing T attack Bolles is going to throw at them.  I think the Central and Northern Florida teams  know how to play and adapt to that style better than the South Florida teams who do not get to see that type of play much down here.  Deerfield Beach is a decent 8A team down here and the Bolles Wing T went through them like butter.

I got to lean Bolles taking this game at Home.  Keep in mind Columbianhighfan that you might be playing what could be the Florida 4A State Champion.

As you all can see I got stuck so feel free in helping out or changing.

Come on Slick....Mater Academy Charter over Booker T Washington?   You know Norland would slaughter Mater Academy right now , right?

How do you have Boyd Anderson ahead of Creek when Creek already slaughtered them this year?   Do you really believe McArthur is better than Miramar right now? Miramar would easily be undefeated and have several shutouts (as would many teams) with the McArthur schedule.  As much as people keep talking about the Alcorn State of Broward County , I am going to continue to expose them.  Nice win beating up on Cooper City McArthur....Is that the same team Stoneman Douglas had beat up on 2 weeks ago?  I hope McArthur can keep flexing their muscle next week vs. West Broward. LOL.

  13. Refs kind of let this one get out of hand.  220 yards in penalties on Miramar and 290 yards in penalties on Flanagan- but even the refs couldn't beat Flanagan tonight.   Flanagan's Defense smothered Miramar for the first half and the game.  Miramar refused to shake Flanagan's hands at the start of the game   (technically the Home team has to "great/welcome" the visitor - not that Flanagan wanted to be friendly either)   and they were flagged right from the get go.  Unfortunately 2 Miramar Coaches ejected, 1 Miramar player bumped a Flanagan Coach and was ejected.  Refs ordered both teams in different directions after the game and no handshakes exchanged.   Had to have been 25 police officers on hand throughout the stadium.  I think they were worried there could be a sequel to the 2007 ruckus that made national news.

Flanagan/Plantation next week should be great.  Flanagan's Offense still evolving but making progress and most teams struggle to move the ball on Flanagan outside of penalty yards.  Plantation also has a solid Defense but their ground and pound Offense is clicking on all cylinders right now and outside of STA they are pretty much steamrolling everybody in their way.

  14. Flanagan has NEVER beat Miramar on their own field.  Both teams offenses have been nothing explosive.  Even though Flanagan will have Kato Nelson back at QB tonight they may go the safe route and play conservative.  They might respect that Miramar D on their own field. Flanagan may have the starting RB back out but they are still at the healthiest point they have been all season...  I think the difference in this game tonight  will be Flanagan will have their Defense at full force with Samuels returning to his natural CB position.  Outside of a few long pass plays Coconut Creek had on the Falcon Defense, no one has really sustained drives on Flanagan without the help of penalties.  Not sure what Flanagan will put up offensively but I don't see Miramar scoring more than 17 points here.

  15. I would have to say if either of them win in the first round at this point it would be an upset.  I still think Dillard and Boyd are decent teams but they are not the caliber of the teams they will be facing out of Dade.  Considering Coconut Creek annihilated Boyd Anderson on their own field just 3 weeks ago I think it is safe to say it would be a huge upset.  Not to mention, there were a couple of what appeared to be severe injuries to Boyd Anderson in the second Quarter of this game it is going to be an uphill battle.  If Boynton beats Boyd Anderson and Dillard beats Boynton Beach could  be interesting.  I expected a little more out of Dillard's Offense and perhaps the QB was a little more hyped up than he should have been....Still only halfway through season though...

  16. Was that an upset lastnight Or BA were expected to win?

Depends who you ask.  Most projections that I saw had Dillard winning between 1 and 6 points though. Dillard's Defense looked better than Boyd's going in and Boyd's Offense looked better going in to this game.  I though Dillard would handle them at Home though.

I heard Boyd lost a top WR with a head injury and their QB messed up his knee - both in the 2nd Quarter tough.  I would have thought Dillard would have capitalized on that and took care of business the second half.  Dillard did have 120 yards in Penalties which is a lot but doubt that is why they lost the game.  I think more coaching.  Dillard seems to lose/or just not show up  that 1 game every year it seems.

  17. @broward and that's for the third straight week are you serious you have piper mcarthur and gibbons in over dillard which dillard would probably roll all 3 especially piper and mcarthur sunsentinal must be on somethings that is crazy.!

MIAMI HERLAD HAS DILLARD @ #13 ....SOUTH FLORIDA HS SPORTS HAS US AT 11 ...but sunsentinal don't even have us ranked that's laughable.

Dillard would crush McArthur.  I happen to think Piper is better than McArthur- but still not Dillard.  Gibbons is looking like the Jekyle and Hyde of Broward right now so not sure on them.

These top 25 rankings are where I feel the teams are right now vs . the rest of Broward.
