    1. St. Thomas Aquinas

    2. American Heritage Plantation

    3. Hallandale

    4. Flanagan

    5. Plantation

    6. Deerfield Beach

    7. Coconut Creek

    8. Piper

    9. McArthur

    10. Cardinal Gibbons

Sun Sentinel Palm Beach Top 10:

    1. Dwyer

    2. Atlantic

    3. American Heritage Delray

    4. Boca Raton

    5. Glades Central

    6. Spanish River

    7. Lake Worth

    8. P.B. Gardens

    9. Wellington

    10. Boynton Beach

I laugh at McArthur in Broward at #9.  How did Dillard not get the Broward top ten?

In the Palm Beach Top Ten. Spanish River at #6 is a joke.  Ever hear of Oxbridge Academy, Sun Sentinel?

  2. Also I believe this will separate either team from the top to the low.

Well with Boynton Beach and Northeast as the only other teams in the District I would say the low is very clearly Northeast.  Boynton might be able to sniff Boyd but if Dillard wins this game with ease, they should win the District with east.

  3. This game right here is VERY interesting to me and dillard dosent even play in it.! but your spot on the loser is PROBABLY out if it but check this out there district consist of.

    plantation

    south plantation

    miramar

    flanagan

    cypress bay

and I thank that's it and probably western ...don't quote me on that.! but you currently have plantation with a win over Miramar and cypress bay south plantation with a win over Flanagan but a loss to Miramar and Flanagan with a lost to south plantation so if Flanagan loses this that puts them at 0-2 maybe 1-2 in district play and puts Miramar at 2-1 and Miramar loses it will put them at 1-2 with plantation still have to play Flanagan and south plantation this district is all over the place right now so im interested to see how this pans out.

Yes, that is it and you have Western and Everglades who both are improved but still overwhelmed in this District.  Maybe they should have just let them leave with McArthur ;-) last year!  But with the 5 teams that you listed it makes this District very exciting right now.

Flanagan has not seen a ground game this year to that of Plantation and Miramar, but at the same time the Dirty Bird STARTING Defense has not really allowed an Offensive TD this year.

  4. Huge 8A District 12 Matchup here and it is almost fair to say the loser is likely out of Post-Season Play.  Plantation at this point actually appears to quietly be running this District.   Besides the importance of this game this year you have Miramar coming off a roller coaster season last year in which they lost control of the District and allowed Flanagan to jump in the Drivers seat.  That was the first time Flanagan ever beat Miramar in school history and this year Flanagan must head into Miramar's Home.  Miramar appears to be improving weekly.  They appear to have gravitated to a decent rushing attack and I am pretty sure their Defense has had this game circled for 12 months.....Flanagan surprisingly has their backs against the wall as well and last week brought back their original starting QB for the 3rd Quarter.  He did have a nice 30 yard QB Keeper and did throw one INT if I am not mistaken.  Unfortunately, for the Falcons the atmosphere this weekend will be far from the Western High School that they saw.  Miramar would love to play spoiler and they will not leave anything on the field for this one.  This game will surely be sold out , with standing room only.  If you plan on attending it would be wise to get there before 6:30 .

I have seen a few predictions for this match up and they all have it a close game (some Miramar, some Flanagan) .  Expect a very physical game and unfortunately could have lots of flags.  Hopefully for the most part  the refs understand the tone of the game and let these kids ball.

  5. SO the district showdown is finally here you have the 4-1 boyd Anderson cobras and you have the 3-1 dillard panthers my panthers was on a bye last week that's why the cobras have 5 games played to dillard 4 but I will say this my panthers are rested and they are ready.!!! there are so many storylines surrounded this game you #1 this is a district game #2 this has always been a neighborhood rival game that draw big crowds and #3 you have a couple players who left dillard before the season started to go to boyd Anderson and some boyd Anderson players left and came to dillard with each team looking to make that STATEMENT so I'm excited to kick this game off Thursday.

I initially was thinking the Panthers win a close one, but Dillard rested off a bye and at home....Boyd has not seen a Defense like Dillard yet.  I gotta lean Dillard 34-16.

  6. Piper at least has a stronger case than McArthur because they have beat a little better teams.  Though I still feel Dillard, Miramar, Boyd Anderson, Miramar, Cypress Bay, Gibbons, Coral Springs Charter , ArchbishopMcCarthy, University School, Ely,  and maybe Calvary Christian are better teams than maybe Piper and DEFINITELY McArthur.  Also, a 1-9 Ely deserves post-season play before a undefeated McArthur .  I hope a undefeated McArthur has to play a 1-9 Ely in the playoffs and loses just to expose everything....

I almost feel this District 15 - 7A was adjusted/built out of sympathy or something....  Is it not a coincidence that the District was created last year, and there is not ONE team with a winning record in this "new" District?

  7. @slick I believe this will be my first time saying this LOL but I agree with your top 10 all the way.! even the Miami one my broward top 10 will be.

    #1 St thomas

    #American heritage

    #3hallandale

#4Flanagan (simply) because there q.b is back

    #5 dillard

    #6plantation

    #7coconut creek

#8deerfield beach (product of a cake walk early schedule first true test and was blown out)

    #9miramar

    #10 boyd Anderson

I like this Dillard but if Deerfield's schedule is a cake walk and McArthur is knocking at the door of the top 10- than what is McArthur's schedule?  Compare these fist 4 games - Deerfield Beach (Cypress Bay, @ Ely, Coral Springs, Bolles) McArthur (Taravella, @ Western, Northeast, @ South Broward)  ?

Also, who do you think is a better team at this point- 1-3 Cypress Bay or 4-0 McArthur  ?

  8. @broward to me it just seems like all these teams you meationed are bad and below average some just a little better then others. but if you thank that is bad what do u think about ely being possible 1-9 making the playoffs as district runner up.

The teams that I mentioned are ALL better than McArthur.  Ely is as well.  If Ely makes the playoffs in their District at 1-9 , I have WAY more respect for them than McArthur , even if McArthur goes undefeated. First of all, Ely will not win their District (McArthur could).  If McArthur had Ely's schedule they would likely be 0-10 or 1-9 at best and got beat worse than Ely in those games.  I have more respect for teams that struggle to win with a hard schedule than teams that beg to leave their previous District and now have a schedule and District with NOT ONE winning team in it!  7A Football in Florida is supposed to be competitive, we are not talking 1 or 2 A.    When I look at 7A District 7 in Central FL and see Kathleen, Winter Haven, Lakeland and Bartow and see that 2 of those teams will not see Post Season but McArthur and Cooper City could - that is problem.  I don't have a solution, but we all know every one of those team up north would beat McArthur by 30+ on any field.

Tell me how McArthur and Cooper City gets rewarded by SUCKING for years (8A-District 12)  and going to a crap 7A District but Plantation and South Plantation (both fought hard over the years in a decent 7A District)  who have had to deal with STA get thrown into District 12-8A and have to fight now with Miramar, Flanagan, Cypress Bay to see post-season?

How many teams in South Florida this year are way better than McArthur but will not see post-season play?  Too many.  It look's like Coconut Creek will not see 5A football Playoffs but Cooper City and McArthur could see 7A.  That is a disgrace!

Again guys..Alcorn State has better record than Mississippi State.....let's reward them!

  9. Miami

    1. Columbus

    2. Central

    3. South Dade

    4. Coral Gables

    5. Carol City

    6. Mater Academy Charter

    7. Southwest Miami

    8. Jackson

    9. Booker T. Washington

    10. Edison

    Broward

    1. St. Thomas Aquinas

    2. American Heritage (Plantation)

    3. Hallandale

    4. Deerfield Beach

    5. Dillard

    6. Plantation

    7. Flanagan

    8. Coconut Creek

    9. Boyd Anderson

    10. Miramar

My list was hard for Miami. 1-6 was easy but after that I had problems. Southwest Miami is 4-0 but they play Carol City and Coral Gables which will give people an outline of then. Edison is 4-1 the only biggest threat left is Booker T. Washington. Jackson has that lonesome win against Booker T. Washington and 1st in school history so I had to put them in. Booker T. Washington is a young squad this year with a new coach sitting at 2-3 but due to their schedule I couldn't leave them out and I kid you not most down here wouldn't come out with 2-3.

Broward was easy I just switched Dillard with Plantation because at this point I think the Panthers are better and since South Plantation lost to Miramar I added them in. On a side note what do you all think about McArthur this year at 4-0.

Piper (4-0 - beat 3 teams better than McCarthur) , Coral Springs Charter (4-0 - have beaten Nobodys - like McCarthur - except crushed Calvary Christian this weekend -Calvary Christian definitely  better team than MacCarthur) , Archbishop McCarthy (4-0 - beat University School 2 weeks ago-better team than MacArthur, University School (beat Key West- better than McCarthur), Cardinal Gibbons (lost to 2 teams better than McCarthur but have key win vs Jackson- way better than McCarthur , Cypress Bay(lost to 3 teams way better than MacCarthur and beat common opponent ((Taravella)) 31-0  @ Taravella while McArthur was Home vs. Taravella and struggled to beat them 19-10.     MacArthur's best win this year is Taravella or Western!!!!!   They don't have one good win over a team above .500 and unfortunately the hoax will continue with... vs Cooper City, @ West Broward, Hollywood Hills, Fort Lauderdale, Nova, and South Plantation!   McCarthur's opponents this year were a combined 40-72 last year.  Not one team with a winning record!

How do they get a schedule like that???   Someone expose this team please!   Make them go away !     And what's worse is if they win their District, and have to face STA ...STA will get knocked for playing them rather than we all should be thanking  STA  for exposing the phonies!  It disgust me that this team could win a 7A District in Florida.  Emabarrasing!

ALL teams I listed > and run woodshed on McCarthur!  McCarthur in Broward = Fraud!

Just so you guys know , Alcorn State has better record than Mississippi State this year....

  10. Here's what I have

    1. Columbus

    2. South Dade

    3. Coral Gables

    4. Deerfield Beach

    5. Plantation

    6. Flanagan

    7. Atlantic

I assume these are South Florida ratings rather than Statewide 8A?  Look's pretty good if it is only South Florida.   I would not sleep on this Atlantic - Delray team....

Columbus will face more talented teams but they will out-coach almost all of them every time.  When a team continues to win close games you got to think it is not luck anymore...Great coaching!

  11. Yes, I think Deerfield Beach would and should get in before both of them.  I also like Deerfield to come out of Broward County over Flanagan as well.

Deerfield vs Columbus to go to State

If the playoffs were this weekend, I would have to agree.  If Flanagan has to go to Deerfield Beach to play in November, I can definitely see Deerfield pulling that off.  Perhaps the biggest, most corrupt,  big game Home Field advantage in Florida.  They must practice on that field because it is like playing in either mud or a sand box.  If you are not ready for it you are screwed.  Blaring music, refs from the neighborhood and you have a very advantageous place to play.  I can see them beating Flanagan, Plantation, Miramar there for sure.

  12. Rnk CLASS 8A Record Points Prv 1 Apopka (18) 4-0 188 1 2 Christopher Columbus Catholic 4-0 166 3 3 Kissimmee Osceola (1) 4-0 155 4 4 Vero Beach 3-0 119 6 5 Atlantic Community 3-0 105 7 6 Charles Flanagan 2-1 77 2 7 Fort Pierce Central 3-0 63 9 8 Mandarin 4-0 45 10 9 West Orange 3-1 38 5 10 South Dade 3-0 25 NR Others receiving votes: Deerfield Beach 16, Dr. Phillips 12, Coral Gables 6, Plantation 6, Sandalwood 5, Lake Brantley 4, Oak Ridge 4, University (Orange City) 3, Manatee 3, South Plantation 2, Palm Harbor

Above are the 8A rankings for the state, Flanagan drops down to #6 after losing to South Plantation who was not previously ranked in their county, yet alone state.  So my question is, If Miramar beats South Plantation this week does Miramar move back into the State top 10 ranking or at least Plantation with a win this week against Cypress Bay?

Not likely.   The rankings that you are viewing appear to have a power rating number associated them (example: Apopka =188). If that is the case a team would normally move up or down relevant to the several factors which could include strength of opposition , margin of victory, Home/Away points allowed etc...  To answer your question more specifically about Miramar, my guess would be most likely - no.   They would need a lot of good teams rated ahead of them to lose or get blown out.  A 45-0 victory or something over South Plantation could help.  A huge win for Plantation over Cypress Bay would help their chances...   But if Deerfield Beach handles Bolles  they will likely be first in since Bolles is a stronger opponent than South Plantation or Cypress Bay (I would think).

Again, I am not the one making these ratings and this is just my guesstimated thoughts.  You might want to contact the individual who made the rankings for a more definitive answer....

  13. 0-4.!!! BOL.! WOW.! OK RIGHT SO THAT MEANS DILLARD SHOULDNT EVEN COME OFF THERE BYE NEXT WEEK THEY SHOULD JUST MARK US 3-2 SINCE ITS OBVIOUS WERE GOING TO LOSE TO BOYD ANDERSON ...BUT U JUST STAED.! LAST WEEK.!!! @BROWARD.!! THAT U PREDICT DILLARD WILL BEAT BOYD ANDERSON AND POSSIBLY WHEN OUT THE REST OF THERE GAMES BECAUSE OF US PLAYING @ HOME.! SMH FLIP FLOP AT ITS BEST.!

I said "could" be 0-4 or should I say "COULD"  so you understand .  As for Dillard vs Boyd Anderson.   Dillard plays Boyd Anderson right now, I would take the Home team every time from what I have seen of both teams..This weekend's game is at Dillard.  I lean Dillard.

  14. @harry don't come on here after a week of being a member and take sides speak truth playboy.! Flanagan is just as unproven as creek is only difference is that Flanagan has been in the playoffs and has made steps CREEK HAVENT even been to the playoffs in over 8 years.!!!!!! and all because they had a little 7on7 success there world beaters??? ribault out of Jacksonville won all there 7on7 championships this summer and is now 0-3.!!! 7on7s mean nothing creek is over hyped.!!! I gurantee if you put that question on the national board IS COCONUT CREEK over hyped.! the answer will be YES.!!!! Flanagan was even slightly over hyped especially until they get there q.b back there defense is LEGIT as they come but overall right now there AVG.!!!

and against this is not about that this thread is about whose playing better right now and no matter which way you flip it creek and Flanagan are both playing subpar right now.!

And what makes Dillard and Boyd Anderson "proven" or more "proven" than Coconut Creek and Flanagan?

  15. I said since day 1 there going to beat Hallandale but since was Hallandale the deciding factor? what has Hallandale done? any championships? any state championship apperances?? any 3rd round apperances no.!! last year they went 10-0 with a soft schedule ran into a better team in the 2nd round played close for a half at home and was blowed out the rest of the way.! ....NEXT.! they have STA this Friday let me guess are u picking the mighty chargers in the upset?? LOL.! HAHAHAHAHHA

Well if Hallandale beat Dillard the way they did, they must be pretty good...right?

  16. And what makes Dillard and Boyd Anderson "proven" or more "proven" than Coconut Creek and Flanagan?

  17. there schedule hard??? there only hard games was Flanagan and heritage what u mean ....marist? not a power in GA stranahan Northeast?? whats hard about there schedule the only reason why your not looking at it as easy because you know that creek is improved enough to when some of these games before they would have lost to GIBBONS proably still do so whats the problem.? dosent mean there schedule hard your just making excuses for a team u been hyping since day 1

Have you ever heard of Hallandale?  :)

  18. @broward YOU CANT BE SERIOUS.! creek is 2-2.!!!!! what coconut creek team are you watching.!!? and this has nothing to do with lightning delays and ETC you said that if the weather was dry you would like creek to keep it a close game and wouldn't shock if u if they got the upset ...BUMP the score prediction you said you believe CREEK has better SKILL players then AMERICAN HERITAGE which is false all the way around...RAIN SHINE OR HAIL American heritage is better then creek.! on any day and if the game was replayed it would be the same result at the end of the day you need to get threw your head that CREEK IS OVER HYPED.! they get all this attention over 7ON7 NON TACKLING HYPE.!!! and when the lights came on to prove there self vs WORTHY.!! opponents they have wet the bed man 0-2.!!! you cant deny that.! SURE there better then what they were the last couple of years but THATS IT.! to even put them in the slate IS LAUGHABLE.! creek is nothing but a improved 4-6 team with a easy schedule.! so how are they playing better there record shows they just had a 21 POINT DEFEAT BUT THATS PLAYING BETTER THEN 2 TEAMS WITH 21 POINT WINS THIS PAST FRIDAY.!

get ya nose out the roses homeboy and get take off ya creek and Flanagan homer glasses they maybe good and they maybe talented BUT RIGHT NOW.! you cant sit here and tell me there not playing better then plantation and Deerfield who u currently have them under but there playing better then dillard and boyd Anderson who is also 3-1 like plantation you cant sit here with a straight face and tell me that bruh stop throwing shade.! and keep it 100 until Flanagan get there q.b back there AVG at best which is not top 3 worthy.! especially with there last performance and creek was SINCE DAY 1.!! slightly AVG with OVER HYPED EXPECTATIONS ENOUGH SAID.!

Yes...Creek has a real easy schedule....you just make yourself look worse and worse....

  19. @broward you said if it was nasty weather in play but if it wasn't it would be close and wouldn't shock u if creek upseted AHP .....NEWSFLASH there was no nasty weather on there field Friday night.! LOOK UP THE VIDEO creek just got blew out by obviously a supierior opponent. AGAIN thay game shouldn't have been hyped up the way it was from the get go.! just like creek vs Flanagan shouldn't have both games creek came up short and both games they trailed by 21 points at some time.!

SO at the end of the day that speaks for its self on creek but as for this over all thread and the rankings you have Deerfield and plantation over Flanagan and creek but dillard and boyd Anderson under..??? why ...explain.!?? because if the rankings are who u believe is better then shouldn't Deerfield and plantation be below according to you expertise?? ...but you have both of them higher which means part of you is ranking these teams off most recent performance and if were ranking off what teams are doing NOW.! whats there RECORD NOW.! how they look NOW.!! then I'm sorry but my top 10 rankings stand corrected DILLARD PLANTATION BOYD ANDERSON AND DEERFIELD are all playing better then Flanagan and creek.! all that who will win on a neutral field right now and etc is STRAIGHT foolishness because #1 there not and 2 its irrelevant this is creek 2nd blow out out lost of the season regardless of what the final score vs Flanagan say us who watched it know what it really was and the 21 points lost to American heritage and Flanagan just lost to a team who was not even ranked top 2,000 nationally or even top 100 in florida so that alone drops them at the bottom of the top 10.!!

You sure know how to twist words to your liking. Do you work for Hilary Clinton on the side?   However anybody that read my write up for the game comprehends that I was stating if the weather was dry it could improve the chances of Coconut Creek. It is obvious, based on the content of the prediction that I feel strongly AHP will handle Coconut Creek and I give Creek a slim chance of keeping the game close if the weather stays dry.  Not for nothing but there was rain in Broward in a few spots Friday evening and many lightning delays.  If you know anything about humidity and barometric pressure along with lightning, it is a general rule of thumb there is precipitation in the area.  I don't want to get too sophisticated on this.  I prefer that you get to what you were doing and keep believing that Boyd Anderson and Dillard are CURRENTLY playing better than Coconut Creek and Flanagan.  I wish Josh could put your words into a poll on here to or people would reply to your opinion to show how asinine that statement is.  In fact just tweet about , it voice that statement everywhere you go outside of your mirror and you might find the truth...

  20. ARE YOU SERIOUS.!? you don't feel dillard or boyd Anderson is playing better.!? ummmm I'm sorry and Deerfield and plantation is?? Flanagan just lost to a team that wasn't even in consideration of making the top 10.!!! back up players in players suspended it don't matter.!! Flanagan straight up wet the bed last week vs a inferior opponent.! they even played sloppy in the tail end of there game against creek 12 points vs a south plantation team who lost to piper.!!!!! PIPER.!! and a piper team who I believe lost to holly wood hills your not being logical what so ever you have Deerfield and plantation over Flanagan and creek so I believe there playing better Deerfield just beat a 0-3 coral springs team and plantation just beat a Miramar team who u said your self was down this year.

BUT.! dillard and boyd Anderson who are also playing well they get ranked below them! be forrel with yourself bro.! like real talk creek just got blowed out by AHP and most with u included said it will be close border line had creek winning but yet you still wont admit that yeah creek is vastly improved but there not who you and others are hyping them to be straight up.!

Wrong again. Throw out the pipe Dillard.   Please find my write up below where I predicted AHP to run all over Creek (which happend) and basically said Creek has a prayer in the game and could win but, I boldly predicted 30-13.

    See for yourself:

    All-State 3rd Team

    Posted 18 September 2015 - 02:26 PM

Nasty weather (80% chance of scattered thundershowers with heavy downpours) expected in West Plantation and most of South Florida through this weekend.  Not to sound like the Master Of the Obvious... but this will generally benefit the team with better Offensive and Defensive Lines, the team that can run the ball, and the better overall Defenses.  Teams that rely on the deep ball and going to the air a lot will be at a disadvantage.  Disciplined teams and knowing how to take care of the ball could be big benefit. Home teams also generally benefit here as they take shelter in more comfortable areas (vs. sometimes a bus or small room) if there are any lightning delays.

That said, I would lean even more towards AHP here to get the job done. Coconut Creek's strengths in my opinion are the athletic QB, the imposing WR's and Secondary that creates mismatches.  Their O/D Lines are above average but will get worn down by AHP.  AHP offensively likely will not worry about throwing the ball and understand that if they play mistake free football running the ball- they should have no problems getting the W.  Defensively speaking, AHP will likely show a heavy pass rush (like Flanagan displayed 2 weeks ago vs. Creek) and with the weather factored in, you would think Coco Creek will have very limited options. From what I have seen, AHP is more the kind of Defense that wears on you vs. say a Flanagan that might gamble a little more with it's great team speed.

If for some reason the weather is dry, Coconut Creek definitely has some better skilled position players than AHP and could make the game interesting. Both teams have had issues with penalties this year, so could be lots of hankies unless the refs just want to keep the clock moving, and get the hell out of there of there ...It would not shock me if Coconut Creek pulled off the upset but I am going to go with the better coached, more battle tested team here with the nasty weather this weekend:

    AHP 30   Coconut Creek 13

  21. @broward in what way are you ranking your top 10?? because if you are ranking them the way I did then you just contradicted yourself in your last message because if your ranking them off who is better.! then the rankings should be.

No, actually I did not.  I have Flanagan and Coconut Creek ahead of Dillard and Boyd Anderson.  That is the only real adjustment I felt for the time being.  That and I have Miramar on top of Boyd Anderson.  I don't feel Boyd Anderson and Dillard are currently playing better than Flanagan or Coconut Creek.  I also don't feel that your #8 team (Flanagan) and #9 team (Coconut Creek) would beat #10 team McArthur by 35+ points...I'm sorry, I don't feel your 8,9,10 teams "right now" are closer than that but I really don't. I feel a 8,9,10 team should at most be withing 14 points of each other.   If you feel that way , I respect your opinion though , just don't agree with it...
