you really love Apopka. We know you beat them last year in a meaningless game but you still don't have to rank them high to make Columbia look better. They shouldn't be getting the 50 spot bonus, maybe 25 since it was last year. Apopka has 2 losses to Lakeland and West Orange. They should not be ranked #2 in 8A however they have a really good shot to win the state title.

This win bumps OC University up to 36.16 points and would put them in the playoffs. Winter Park 42.50 Flagler Palm Coast 41.71 Wekiva 40.71 Seminole (Sanford) 40.20 Apopka 39.13 Lake Mary 38.43 Boone 36.17 Spruce Creek 35.50 Timber Creek 34.67 Oviedo 34.57 Evans 34.29 West Orange 34.13 Lake Brantley 33.14 Sandalwood 32.86 University (Orange City) 32.80

darterblue was going to go. I had to work. That is a huge win for them and keeps their playoff chances alive

they have it both ways. They also have it according to points in each region.

8A Region 1 1 Winter Park 42.50 vs 8 Spruce Creek 35.5 2 Flagler Palm Coast 41.71 vs 7 Boone 36.17 3 Wekiva 40.71 vs 6 Lake Mary 38.432 4 Seminole (Sanford) 40.20 vs 5 Apopka 39.13 Just out Timber Creek 34.67, Oviedo 34.57, Evans 34.29, West Orange 34.13 It is funny Timber Creek is over West Orange. Timber Creek is 2-4 and lost to 4-4 West Orange by 17. The reason Timber Creek is higher is because they have a win over 6-1 East River who is not good but has a horrible schedule so they have an inflated record which makes Timber Creek better than West Orange.

Final Dillard 30 northeast 6 panthers win 4th str8
badbird replied to “PANTHER NATION(CODE BLUE)'s topic in The Huddle
and you will probably get to host Miami Central, Northwestern or Carol City. Good luck pull for Mantazas to win out and they might make it as a real bad wildcard and maybe Dillard will get them -
Joe as in Joe Pinkos? He has a computer and it spits out numbers. I think he will have them as an underdog vs Hernando in two weeks

Could Pahokee be casualty #2 to the new playoff system
badbird replied to badbird's topic in The Huddle
that is casualty #1. MCC is also in serious trouble. -
looks like they have about 100 less students than you. different cut offs for different sports because of the number of teams and classes are different in all sports
-
I would prefer cutting out a district in each region or eliminating a class over moving teams up and down based on competitive play. Just my preference. I think your idea is great to get competitive play and closer games if that's your goal. The fhsaa should put out districts and not let you petition. I have never seen a team petition to get into a harder district. They always use the travel excuse to move into a weaker district or to move into something that is about the same but closer.
-
How would you determine open class? What if STA didn't want to be in it? I think if you went open class you would have to do what Gatorman suggested and move people up and down based on performance. That means top 90 or so teams would be in the top class and Columbia would probably be there. Are you sure you are for it?

I looked it up and just posted above but Thanks

It is head to head then if can't be broken point system
-
Question if two teams tie for a district title does it go head to head or points? I know it is points if 3 teams tie and they all beat each other.
-
I agree 1-4A is the major issue. I'm sure some will arise in 5A-8A but to be honest if they didn't win their district I really don't feel sorry for them. They had a chance to make it based on on field performance.

Could Pahokee be casualty #2 to the new playoff system
badbird replied to badbird's topic in The Huddle
Lincoln is going to get in at most likely 3-7 this year. They will win their district. Also hypothetically a team could go 0-10 if they played ten top tier teams and make the playoffs in some regions. Very unlikely to happen but it could if someone wanted to try that out. -
Is this your answer to every thing? Common sense tells you a lot of the problems that would exist in this new system and they are showing year 1.

Escambia won state titles in the 80’s. They haven’t been a state contender in 17 years. In 1999 and 2000 they were really good those two years but since then have only made the playoffs 4 times.

The point total is an average for each game. So if your point total for the game played that week is lower than your average it will drop -
Could Pahokee be casualty #2 to the new playoff system

I think they get in as well and probably beat Seminole Ridge and Glades Central. But if they lose this week to Seminole Ridge they are in major jeopardy of missing the playoffs. Should it really come down to that to make the 1a playoffs? -
They play Seminole Ridge 7-1, Cocoa 6-0 and Glades Central 4-2 to end the season. If the lose all 3 they will end with around 34 points and probably miss the playoffs. If they lose to Seminole Ridge and Cocoa and beat Glades Central they will finish around 36-37 points and be on the bubble. I don't think they lose al 3 but you have to admit there is a possibility. Here is the last updated ones and I don't feel like doing it for Friday's results. 39.25 Pahokee 38 Wildwood 37.67 Frostproof 37.2 Crescent City 36.6 Hawthorne 34.17 Williston
