  1. I looked it up and just posted above but Thanks
  2. It is head to head then if can't be broken point system
  3. Question if two teams tie for a district title does it go head to head or points? I know it is points if 3 teams tie and they all beat each other.
  4. I agree 1-4A is the major issue. I'm sure some will arise in 5A-8A but to be honest if they didn't win their district I really don't feel sorry for them. They had a chance to make it based on on field performance.
  5. Lincoln is going to get in at most likely 3-7 this year. They will win their district. Also hypothetically a team could go 0-10 if they played ten top tier teams and make the playoffs in some regions. Very unlikely to happen but it could if someone wanted to try that out.
  6. Is this your answer to every thing? Common sense tells you a lot of the problems that would exist in this new system and they are showing year 1.
  7. Escambia won state titles in the 80’s. They haven’t been a state contender in 17 years. In 1999 and 2000 they were really good those two years but since then have only made the playoffs 4 times.
  8. The point total is an average for each game. So if your point total for the game played that week is lower than your average it will drop
  9. I think they get in as well and probably beat Seminole Ridge and Glades Central. But if they lose this week to Seminole Ridge they are in major jeopardy of missing the playoffs. Should it really come down to that to make the 1a playoffs?
  10. They play Seminole Ridge 7-1, Cocoa 6-0 and Glades Central 4-2 to end the season. If the lose all 3 they will end with around 34 points and probably miss the playoffs. If they lose to Seminole Ridge and Cocoa and beat Glades Central they will finish around 36-37 points and be on the bubble. I don't think they lose al 3 but you have to admit there is a possibility. Here is the last updated ones and I don't feel like doing it for Friday's results. 39.25 Pahokee 38 Wildwood 37.67 Frostproof 37.2 Crescent City 36.6 Hawthorne 34.17 Williston
  11. maxpreps has it listed as Monday
  12. Brevard isn’t in the Orlando Sentinel coverage area. I don’t get that far over to see them often. I did make it over to Cocoa last year and was hoping to see Viera play Osceola this year. If I included Brevard Cocoa would be 1 and Viera probably 4. And Vero Beach is Central Florida like Tampa is
  13. Which left Lincoln in a three team district. They are going to make the playoffs this year at 3-7. I love three team districts. Smh
  14. I think you can add Boone to that category as well. The panhandle has had several teams make it and one win it this Century but like sharkbait said most schools are smaller.
  15. I'm aware of that sharkbait. I grew up in Okaloosa county. In my eyes Panama City is just not the same to me as Port St Joe, Crestview, walton, Freeport, Niceville etc.
  16. If one team choose to cancel they would have to forfeit. I'm sure if their was a drop of rain that day maybe they could say their field is not playable.
  17. 100% darterblue. The game definitely has changed to be a more athletic game as opposed to a more physical game which hurts the type of kids they usually have.
  18. I don't consider Rutherford panhandle which is why I didn't mention them but technically it is. Tallahassee is also in the panhandle but I don't consider them either lol. I think it has to do with population. Usually they are not as athletic as teams from down South. You use to could out work people which is what the panhandle did back in the 80's but that is no longer the case.
  19. Defuniak Walton in the 80's but they are also smaller like Baker. However my point is they are no longer dominant and haven't been for decades. Pensacola Washington only made the playoffs twice in the 80's. They did win a state title in 1994 but only made the playoffs one other time in the 90's. Choctaw also won a state title in 1990 but rarely made the playoffs.
  20. there hasn't been dominant teams in the panhandle other than Niceville in 3 decades. Baker, Escambia (Emmitt Smith) and Pine Forest (Derrick Brooks) was dominant in the 80's. Fort Walton Beach in the 90's (Danny Wuerffel). They usually don't have the talent to beat the real good schools and now with so many kids transferring to make super teams it hurts their chances even more. Niceville has benefited from a few transfers over the years that allows them to compete on a state level but I don't think they have won a title since the 80's.
  21. that would be great. It would make a mockery of the system
  22. can you explain what you mean by panhandle long era of dominance? The only panhandle team to win a state title since you've been born in a larger class is Pensacola in 2009 and that was 3A(there were only 6 classes then). I wouldn't call that dominance. If you are talking about Niceville, I think they will be fine. Biggest concern for them will be long time head coach John Hicks is set to retire soon.
  23. I also think Wekiva is better and should have won the first game but WP found a way to win and has zero losses but their schedule has been weak. I would like to make it to the Seminole OC University game also but probably won't. OC University is in a must win situation or probably miss the playoffs 3 years in a row with one of the best backs in the state..
  24. Volusia, Osceola, Seminole, Orange, Lake and Sumter County. my Central Florida rankings after week 8 1. Osceola 6-0 at Haines City really good on defense, very young on the OL 2. Jones 7-1 home Eustis lack of size at skill positions concern me when they get deep in the playoffs 3. Winter Park 8-0 home Boone hasn't played anyone since Wekiva, Boone game will tell us alot 4. Wekiva 6-1 at University great defense, looks much better on offense with #1 at Qb 5. Seminole 5-0 home OC University Tuesday home Winter Springs Friday has struggled on offense at times with freshman QB and not an explosive run game 6. Apopka 6-2 bye injuries at Rb position is a concern but a week off might be exactly what the doctor ordered 7. DP 5-2 home Olympia needs to be more consistent on offense 8. Bishop Moore 6-1 bye solid team but not like years past 9. Spruce Creek 5-1 at Mandarin tough loss to FPC on an inadvertent whistle that cost them the game, not a flashy team but well coached 10. Mainland 3-3 home NSB still struggling on offense will they get it together in time others in no order Boone 5-1, Lake Mary 6-1, Orange City University 3-2, East Ridge 5-2, Edgewater 6-1, West Orange 4-4
