As I said in my earlier post, when Viera/South Fork got ugly I was think of running up to Cocoa. Well, then was following the Cocoa game, and said no need. Viera has been to Allen, Texas, Gonzaga. DC, South Carolina next year. Osceola is just another great game they wanted on schedule. Neither team decline, it did not work out. Not sure you are correct about how the logistics and finances went down on this game 1. Viera vs Osceola - huuricane 2. Viera vs M.I - hurricane, 3. the following week Rockledge and Osceola played because they both had bye weeks on the Sept. 22 (so they played), 4. Viera vs, Cocoa Sept. 22, 5. Osceola and Viera had district games on Sept. 29 Osceola nor Viera ducked each other, it just was not to be because of Irma. Bottom line, Viera missed out on $40, 000 of gate those 2 Friday home games missed. And add they had to play Palm Bay on the road this year because of Hurricane Mathew last year, (add another $20, 000) Viera has only played on their home field on August 25 only and that is it this year. Viera will show up at Kowboy stadium next year. I will have no more kids at Viera (YAAAAAA1) and depending on my son's college schedule, I will be there though.

I may leave the Viera vs.South Fork game after the first few series if it starts to get ugly.(Joe P. should have Viera favored 62) and head North to Cocoa to check this out. With Vero, there are 2 counties in between them and Palm Beach (St, Lucie and Martin), they are much more East Central Florida than South Florida.

Tiger86, what are you talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your input made no sense. Cocoa would beat MI by 50 this year and so would Viera. It has to do with defense and Viera has 4 dudes that are as good as it gets; Miami, Tampa, Jax, Orlando, Texas, DC schools - the boys can play.

This game needs no thread, Vero is real good and TC fell off the map since their upset of the Kowboys round 1 playoffs last year..

Dang Badbird, there you go again! Seminolee, Osceola, Orange, and Volusia. If you included Brevard and even Indian River, all those teams drop 3. Cocoa 1, Viera 2, Vero 3. and that is with Vero beating Viera (Viera had 600 yrd. off. and 7 TO). also Spruce Creek should be 5, they could beat DP, Apopka, n Lake Mary this year. Jones is best team, #1

BTW is good, believe me. However, once they lost a couple of games, the players and coaches attitude and mojo changed. Those young men can still play. They have not been in this won/loss situation in a long time. Many teams will be glad they do not have to match up with them in playoffs,

Boys Vero is good, no doubt about. and can definetly play with Columbus, Osceola, Riverview, Apopka's 1970's (double wing, Veer, single wing, etc - whatever Darlington wants to call it}. Vero may hoist he trophy second week of December, 8A only semi tough. The positive, they have about 12 D 1 players, the negative their toughest game was played Aug. 18 vs, Viera. I do not like that. Another team Viera; they will have outscored their final 5 opp. 300 tu 9 or something like that. And Vero n Viera will win 1st playoff games by 50. I don't like it, all games need to be tough. Let's go back to 60's, 70's, and 80's, Only District Champs, 16 teams in each class. Maybe only 8 in 4A and below. Congrats to the Tigers, Stats are impressive, I love your threads and the Tiger stadium. If Hawks and Tigers meet in Semis,, make sure you buy your tickets at CHS early, other wise you will have to cram in beside me and a bunch of other Viera hommers or my silly cow bell r. Our inging wife. Stadium is small and playoff games standing room only.

I think Joe P. did pretty good. Every team is most likely where they should be. A couple of thoughts from Mustang78. St. Aug. in 6A is getting to much love. Lakeland and Plant not getting enough love. Boyz, Lakeland is good this year, and not in the list with 7A is Kathkeen. No one and I say No one will want to play them in in 1st few rounds. They do not have good wins, but they are my sleeper. It will suck if Lakeland and Kathleen play their rival game last week of season and then Kathleen kicks Lakeland's butt in first round of playoffs. Other classes, not sure this year Amer. Plantation, Gibbons, Bartram, and Oxbridge are really in elite status. I would take Rockledge over Gibbons in a playoff game.

Hope Cocoa does not overlook these next 3 opponents for their possible 1st round playoff showdown with Cocoa Beach!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vero is pretty damn good. Every team mentioned in the above will not make playoffs or is 1 and done (exception Pahokee - they will be a factor in 1A) I like that Oscar Smith nobody ( ranked damn near 600) Vero's toughest game until 3rd round of playoffs will have been 3 1/2 months ago vs, Viera. A side note; Viera up 21 - 7 early 2nd qrt. Hawks then produced a turnover parade with 7 TO"s in 2nd and 3rd qrt. Have to see how things pan out for the Indians. They do have the best grass field in all of Florida.

Alright, all you young High School sports fan. I love this chat; 1st - Space Coast Jessica, Rockledge is going to beat M.I. by 30 ( i might check it out}. 2nd - this is a rivalry game like no other in Brevard; both teams will come out and play their butts off. Rockledge has their best team since the Hunter Pingston, Dontravious Wilcox, Laurent Robinson, etc. back to back state championship teams of early 2000's. Rockledge has an intersting approach to this game, cause Nov. 10 is a bigger game for the 2017 Raiders. We shall see the coaches approach.

MCC did not get the job done, simple. FH ranked in upper 400's nationally - MCC ranked in upper 800"s??????????????? In my opinion after watching a bit of stream, MCC coaching lost that game. MCC wins that matchup 4 out of 5 times. Madison beats FH 99 out 100, the loss would be in a November snow in Cumberland.

Dang, sounds like no love for the Panhandle these days. They played as good as it gets back in the 70's and 80's; Escambia, Pine Forest, Milton, Chotaw, Lincoln, Godbey, Leon, etc. Panhandle will have their day. Just not in the near future,
