Anyone who wants the mythical national championship unfortunately has to go through Mater Dei. Damn shame that they won’t come out of Santa Ana and play the South Florida squads. I would love to see: STA vs Mater Dei Miami Central vs Mater Dei CMD vs Mater Dei AHP vs Mater Dei Would be awesome matchups.

Going to be a very tough game for the Bobcats to win. I’ve heard only good things about Poinciana this season. I’m glad North Port is stepping up to the plate and scheduling tougher opponents than usual. Bold Prediction: I bet they have their first winning season in school history within the next 3 years.

I bet Cocoa shocks STA on ESPN... could be the upset of the year considering how strong Cocoa’s defense is going to be. Only lost one DB and Virgil Marshall. I remember they called him “Swipe” because of how fast he was, almost running the route better than a receiver and swatting the ball away or getting the INT. Plus, Ryan Schneider was the OC at STA for a few years; he probably knows a few things about STA that will help them when the time comes to plan for them. Going to be an awesome, low-scoring slugfest of a showdown between the Tigers and Raiders week 3.

The real question that everyone raises, but never answers, is where we should draw the line in the sand between “RECRUITING” and “ATTRACTION.”

Don’t know about the national championship, as that will almost certainly once again land in Mater Dei’s lap. But if Dillard doesn’t at least go 8-2 and win one of their three games between Aquinas, CMD, and Miami Central, that would be a huge disappointment. (In my eyes.)

Don’t think so, we have CMD week 7 and MNW in week 1 but that’s it for South Florida powers. I hope Venice can win one of those two games. This is Dillard’s toughest schedule I’ve ever seen. You guys should have reached out to St. Frances. They are the number 1 team in the nation this season and If Dillard had scheduled them, a national championship would have been in play. I think your only loss will be to MC. In order to win 3A Metro you will have to beat STA twice. Once in week 6 for HFA and again in the playoffs to finish the job. Can’t lose the district game and expect to beat them at their place for the region in the playoffs. Brian Piccolo Stadium is where state championship dreams come to die...

Venice might actually beat them just because it’s a preseason game. Weird things happen in the week 0 preseason because although the game doesn’t matter for rankings, teams try to run new plays/ formations to try to see what works for the regular season. IMG is going down Week 1 for sure. They have basically a brand new team because they were all seniors last year, and on top of this they have been bleeding talent all summer. Miami Central’s team were all sophomores and juniors last season and they still finished as the number 3 overall team in the state, though I would argue that they deserved the king’s crown at #1 over Venice. It’s pretty damn scary to think of how much better the Rockets will be this season with all of their returning talent and the transfers they have received. Plus, I know you guys are still hurting over 2017... you guys had them man, you HAD them. They just snuck away with the victory at the end. I doubt that happens again. Like you stated earlier, it’s the season opener, and I think Miami Central is going to do enough to win because of their familiarity and continuity in their o-line and skill positions. But it’s not going to be sweet, MC is going to have to work for it. But when the smoke settles and the clock hits 0:00, I think the Rocboyz will be traveling back to the 305 with a shiny dub! ABC logic shouldn’t work that way. Lakeland and Osceola are both better than Lehigh, PERIOD!. End of discussion. The fact that this ranking has Lakeland and Osceola at the bottom of the list is completely shameful and whomever compiled this disgrace of a prediction ought to be ashamed of themself.

I respect your opinion, but like others have said on this board MNW had a pretty young team last season. On paper, it seems that they have nowhere to go but up.
