Wonderful sentiment and I agree but Weiner Punted with over two minutes left in the game. I can't understand that at all. Sorry but that was a poor choice. On to Edgewater!

Nobody scored after the onside kick, Plant punted and Lakeland simply ran out the clock. The score was Lakeland 49-23 when Plant scored to make it 49-30. They then kicked an onside kick and recovered it. After a few plays and a penalty, Plant was 4th and 15 and instead of going for it, they punted. Lakeland killed the rest of the clock.

Agreed but by punting Plant did basically quit. They hadn't stopped Lakeland all game, and by punting they basically admitted defeat. Go for an onside kick and then punt it away? Pointless

It was the final score of 49-30, they had just driven to score the 30...

I mentioned this before but it still bothers me, Plant had just scored a TD and trailed Lakeland by 19 with 2:59 to play. They successfully recover an onside kick, but eventually they face 4th and 15 at their own 45 with about 2:25 remaining. And they PUNT! ? Why? I admit the odds were long but if you go to the effort to recover an onsides kick why punt? The odds favored the 4th and 15 more than the onsides kick. And they had already completed a 4th and long in the last drive. Why?

My biggest issue with him was they go for an onside kick with 2:59 on the clock down by 19. Recovers it! Ends up with a 4th and 15 from their 45 and he punts? LHS ran out the clock. If you are bold enough to get an onside kick, WHY punt? GO FOR IT! Was glad he did so we could leave a bit early.

Well this Plant game was exciting but Plant couldn't stop Lakeland on the ground. Lakeland gave up a lot of passing yards but did stop Plant on enough occasions to obviously win by 19 points. Lakelands pass defense was torched on 4 big plays but tightened up in the red zone.
