No credible poll in America has MC ranked #1. Max Preps, USA Today, Prep Nation, Cal Preps, SBLive/Sports Illustrated. Not one of them and there is a reason for it because they are not the best HS team in the country. Not even close. It's debatable if they are even the best team in South Florida. For the majority of the season that claim went to Chaminade Madonna, until they went out west and make the state of Florida look like a joke. Is MC 49-14 better than Chaminade? Stop that #1 in the country nonsense.

Call it what it is Ray, a butt hurt lie. They came into the 4S title game cocky and got sent him with their tail between the legs. If Bill Castle had less class the score would have been at least 7 points more than it was. Lakeland got a total of 3 kids from Lake Gibson, and a 4th kid who had enrolled at LG during the offseason but never played a down for them. The only reason those kids left LG was because of the coaching turmoil and firing. If that doesn't happen we are not having this conversation.

That would be Venice's own star rating system. The people that get paid to do that(247, ESPN, Rivals) has no stars next to that kid's name. But in all fairness to him stars may bring you hype and media attention, but at the next level you are just another spot on the roster trying to get on the field.

Osceola is the slight favorite right now in my opinion. That 2025 RB is the real deal, and they got dudes on the OLine. QB play needs to get much better though. If you listen to those folk in SW Fla they are already saying " We'll be back". Considering what is, or isn't in that region, they should be back. We can also expect quite a few roster "additions" between now and then. The "Program" is in transition for the 1st time in most fans lifetime, so we will have to wait and see where that goes.

Lake Wales will be fine on offense but they have to replace at least 8 starters on one of the best defenses in the state. I don't see a repeat here. Mainland is the team to beat if they can find and/or develop a QB.

The only thing stopping MC would be if the FHSAA put rules in place to stop the mockery they have made of the system. MNW will lose to them in the regular season once again and have them on the ropes come playoff time, only to choke in the 4th quarter. Rinse, repeat.

Apopka should have won this year, they blew a great opportunity. If the young QB can improve they could be back in the title game. Their defense lose a few guys but they also have alot returning. Columbus returns a highly rated QB and most of his targets. They do lose star RB Sed Irvin. The north region in this class is better overall than the south.

This maybe the worse class in Fla. CM will dominate the south region, they return over 4500 yards in offense. Whomever wins the north region will need to score at least 35 points to make it a game.

Not an easy task for sure, but CM is highly overrated and I stand by that statement. That final score is a black eye to the state considering all the hype about them and their offense. IMO Aquinas is a toss-up better than MC down there, and MC is slightly better than CM. I will also stand by this statement, "When Lakeland is not playing silly and getting dumb penalties they are better than that entire trio". No team in America is scoring 49 points on this Dreadnaughts defense. Not a HS team, maybe a small college.

It's called "class" for a reason Plant fan. These modern day jacklegs want the country to think they are coaching gurus, so CM was trying to impress some clueless poll voter that they are the best team in Fla and deserved a National Championship. Scoring another meaningless TD on a far less talented 1M team was just what their type wanted to see. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately they failed to realize that Bishop Gorman is a recruited up power as well. And BG told a state of Florida recruited up power to "hold my beer". But that's just my perspective.

Is that a serious question? Obvious you missed the 4S title game yesterday and other Venice games. Check the replay when you get a chance. This will be my only comment on his antics, but someone or something has given him the impression that he can intimidate the boys in stripes. Yesterday was ridiculous and he got a few 15-yard penalties to go his way that were not personal fouls. To make matters worse, late in the game Lakeland QB was clearly hit out of bounds on Venice sideline but for some odd reason the yellow flags did not fly at that point
