  1. The tickets are $17 each to attend the games!!!
  2. Based on the computer rankings, Mainland vs St Augustine should be the most competitive game
  3. This is how the computers have it. These are the state rankings. 1 Chaminade vs 13 CCC 2 STA vs 14 Homestead 5 Venice vs 12 Lakeland 9 Mainland vs 11 St Augustine 6 Mandarin vs 15 Columbus 4 Norland vs 19 Berkeley 3 Cocoa vs 30 Bradford 16 Hawthorne vs 57 Mad Co 97 Cardinal Mooney vs 101 OTC
  4. Cut the classes down to 5, and then maybe have a rule that says if you have a certain amount of football transfers in one year (pick a number 5,8,10 etc) then you have to compete in an open division bracket for the playoffs
  5. But they added a class so everything is even more watered down than it already was. So this split was an excuse to add another class since more classes brings in more money from playoff and championship gates. The product will always be watered down and diluted until they merge the state into 5 classes. And for the people crying that it won’t be fair for certain teams just know there will ALWAYS be people crying! Chaminade won by 30 last year in the finals. They will win by 30 again this year. Is that fair? How do you fix that? The answer is you cant! The best teams deserve to be champs. You can’t fix the problem by watering it down to the point everyone get a trophy at the end. It’s disgusting
  6. You would think so but the schedules are easier so the teams achieve better records. And if the strength is only based on just the top teams, then 1M would be considered great with Chaminade leading the charge.
  7. Venice petitioned to be in the metro Class but was denied. They didn’t want to be in the bush leagues.
  8. Yeah these are area titles. Not state titles. You separate the teams by enrollment so they are in different classes. If you are in 3A you can’t win the 1A title. (Unless you are Madison County) so by being separate you can only be considered champ of one class So if you separate the teams by area of the state then technically it’s not a state title. It an area title. The area being rural, metro or suburban.
  9. I have a funny feeling he’s gonna be picking CCC, Berkeley and Homestead
  10. Me too. But classes at the top would make for some fun playoff games.
  11. You could but as a moderator I could edit your picks after the games and just crown him champ regardless of the results
  12. They will be well coached. Really good discipline. They don’t beat themselves. The biggest difference will be athleticism. Cocoa should just spread them out and let their guys do their thing in space.
  13. This should be the semifinal game with the winner playing either Hawthorne or Madison County.
  14. Here’s my picks for the heck of it Hawthorne Cardinal Mooney Chaminade Cocoa Norland St Aug STA Venice Columbus
  15. 3rd place game. I (don’t) like it!!
  16. So you guys can private message me your picks before the first game. It will be all 9 title games. Seeding won’t matter since it’s the finals. We will use points in the rural game as the tie breaker. I will post each person’s picks in a locked thread for all to see right before the first game kicks off.
  17. @KeemD321 vs @Perspective for the championship!!!
  18. @KeemD321 8 @Perspective 7 highest seed @nolebull813 7 @DarterBlue2 7
  19. So they must split rural into 2 classes and make region 1 and 2 as a class and 3/4 as the other
  20. So Hawthorne can beat you by 50 it’s ok, but if NFC or UC win by 30 then it’s no fair we need our own special class? give me a break
  21. 49-0 and 61-22. Those are the scores of the semi finals games in a class that is told to us that can’t compete with North Florida Christian and University Christian. What a joke
  22. Bergen Catholic won to cap a season in which they won every game except against Chaminade. That was a 61-21 lacing.
  23. Here is a link To the top two state championship games in New Jersey tonight. https://www.nj.com/highschoolsports/2023/11/football-watch-all-7-state-championship-games-live-and-for-free.html
