Restricting teams from complete pockets and areas of the state by definition makes it ineligible to be called a state title. You are literally saying that half the states teams and half the land area are ineligible for certain titles. Then it’s not a state title. It’s an area title. What area??? The fucking “suburban” one. Yea technically if the entire state isn’t or can’t be included then it’s not a state title. 1A is a rural title. The same when covid hit there was a Tri-County title. I don’t think anyone thought of that as a state title. You only think of 1A as a state title because it’s been called that and it has conditioned our minds to think that way. But it’s not. It’s the rural title. When you restrict areas of the state, and make them ineligible, you are by definition losing the “state title” status. They are called area titles.

Population is flawed because the only number that matters in terms of population is high school football aged boys. And just the white and black kids at that. College football is made up of 94 percent of black and white males. I know other races play but the number is so minuscule that it wouldnt move the scale in either direction. And South Florida has more individual talent overall than hell anywhere else in the country, not just the state. It’s not because it’s a big city. If that was the case New York City would be a fertile recruiting ground and it’s not. New York has similar population as a state but they are horrible in HSFB. Illinois, New York and Michigan have more high school football teams than Florida but Florida would beat the dog crap out of those states in any metric. The individual talent is 2nd to none in South Florida and by default will create really good football teams

Last year if there was 4 classes in the state 489 teams/4 classes would make each district 7.6 teams per district. We could have seen Madison County vs Jax TC Chaminade vs Cardinal Gibbons Miami Central vs Jesuit STA vs Venice That would have been great!

Enrollment is fine. South Florida is just better at the game of football than North Florida. The individual talent backs it up. They are essentially separating it because one part of the state is better than the other part so they have to separate it to make the inferior part feel better.

What if the metro teams that are losing kids to transfer started to complain and say they can’t compete with local powers who are getting all the talent? Then do they split the classes up based on transfers? And remember that’s a flawed logic because the word transfer doesn’t mean good. They would have to classify teams not just based on transfers but by their star ranking. What site do they use? 247? Rivals? Calpreps? Let me know!!!
