After six years as the head coach at Flanagan, Don Simon is leaving the Sunshine State.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported today that Simon was leaving to take a head coaching job at Southern Lee High in Sanford, NC.
Simon leaves with an overall 42-32 record including winning seasons the past two years at the Pembroke Pines high school.
Flanagan assistant coach Devin Bush has been named the interim head coach and applications have are being accepted the report also noted.
