PLAYOFF WATCH: Class 5A scenarios for Week 9

Here is a complete list of clinching and elimination scenarios for Week 9 (Oct 24-26).

DISTRICT 5A-1
Pensacola Catholic (8-0, 4-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over Gulf Breeze.
West Florida (7-0, 4-0)  – Can clinch playoff berth with win over over Arnold.
Mosley (3-4, 2-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Rutheford OR Can be eliminated with Pensacola Catholic win over Gulf Breeze AND West Florida win over Arnold.
Gulf Breeze (2-4, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Pensacola Catholic AND West Florida win over Arnold.

DISTRICT 5A-2
No district action this week, however Godby is the District Champion. Rickards and Wakulla will meet next week to determine the district runner-up.

DISTRICT 5A-3
Yulee (4-3, 3-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Bishop Kenny.

DISTRICT 5A-4
Palatka (4-3, 2-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Clay.
Menendez (4-3, 0-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Ponte Vedra.
Ponte Vedra (2-5, 0-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Menendez.

DISTRICT 5A-5
Suwannee (5-1, 4-1) – Can clinch playoff berth with Eastside loss to Dunnellon.
Dunnellon (5-3, 3-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Eastside.
Santa Fe (4-3, 2-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to North Marion.

DISTRICT 5A-6
South Sumter clinch the district championship last week with its win over Nature Coast. However the district runner-up spot is still up for grabs and may not be decided until next week.
Zephyrhills (6-1, 3-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Hernando AND Pasco loss to Central (Brooksville).
Pasco (4-3, 2-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Central (Brooksville) AND Zephyrhills win over Hernando.
Hernando (2-5, 2-2) – Can be eliminated with loss Zephyrhills.

DISTRICT 5A-7
Hudson (5-2, 3-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over River Ridge AND Anclote win over Wesley Chapel.
Anclote (4-3, 3-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over Wesley Chapel AND Hudson win over River Ridge.
River Ridge (3-4, 2-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Hudson AND Anclote win over Wesley Chapel.
Ridgewood (1-7, 1-2)  – Can be eliminated with loss to Gulf OR Hudson win over River Ridge AND Anclote win over Wesley Chapel.

DISTRICT 5A-8
Lakewood (5-2, 3-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Tarpon Springs OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Tarpon Springs.
Tarpon Springs (5-2, 2-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Lakewood.
Gibbs (3-5, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with Tarpon Springs win over Lakewood.
Dunedin (1-6, 0-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Boca Ciega OR with Tarpon Springs win over Lakewood.
Boca Ciega (1-6, 0-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Dunedin OR with Tarpon Springs win over Lakewood.

DISTRICT 5A-9
Jesuit (5-3, 1-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with Middleton win over Spoto.
Middleton (2-5, 0-0) – Can clinch playoff berth with win over Spoto.
Spoto (0-7, 0-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Middleton.

DISTRICT 5A-10
Lake Wales (3-4, 2-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Auburndale.
Mulberry (2-6, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Poinciana.

DISTRICT 5A-11
Bishop Moore (5-2, 2-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Lake Highland Prep AND Eustis loss to Tavares.

DISTRICT 5A-12
Merritt Island (7-0, 3-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Palm Bay AND Rockledge loss to Titusville.
Palm Bay (6-1, 3-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Merritt Island.
Satellite (3-4, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Astronaut.

DISTRICT 5A-13
Hardee (6-1, 2-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Southeast.
Southeast (2-5, 2-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Hardee AND Booker loss to Bayshore.
Bayshore (2-6, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Booker.

DISTRICT 5A-14
Island Coast (6-1, 5-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Dunbar OR can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Dunbar.
Dunbar (5-2, 4-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Island Coast OR can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Island Coast AND North Fort Myers loss to Lemon Bay.
Cape Coral (5-3, 3-2) – Can be eliminated with Dunbar win over Island Coast OR Dunbar loss to Island Coast AND North Fort Myers loss to Lemon Bay.
North Fort Myers (2-5, 2-7) – Can be eliminated with loss to Lemon Bay OR Dunbar win over Island Coast.

DISTRICT 5A-15
No district action this week, however Immokalee and Lely will determine the District Champion and Runner-up next week.

DISTRICT 5A-16
No district action this week, however Cardinal Gibbons and American Heritage (Plantation) will determine the District Champion and Runner-up next week.
