[/one_third] [two_third_last] Post-Season Evaluation
How far could we have been off about this district? It seems like a lot to be honest, however we did get at least one of the two teams right about going to the playoffs. However, the projection of how the top four teams would finish was just totally way off the mark. It was year for the Pioneers of North Miami to remember finishing 9-2 overall, winning the district title and making the playoff for the firs time since 1999. That says a lot considering how much of a challenge teams like Hialeah and North Miami Beach can usually throw up each year. We started off the season thinking Hialeah was the district favorite and they were, but when North Miami started off fas to a 5-0 start we knew our projection was all, but toast when North Miami handled the Thoroughbreds 35-14 in Week 8. Reagan, a team projected would finish third ended up finishing fourth with North Miami Beach finishing third and was in playoff contention right until the end with Hialeah. Rounding at the final two teams, Dr. Krop and Hialeah Gardens are most likely wanting to forget about their seasons. For Dr. Krop finishing 1-9 is a low point for a program that had once been annual playoff contender and a challenger in the playoffs. For Hialeah Gardens, new ways of scoring points are going to have to come into play going into 2014, if they want to have a shot to be competitive within the district.
