ALL-STATE FOOTBALL: 2024 Class 6A All-State Football Award Winners

It is time to honor the best of the best among our All-State Honorees with our All-State Awards Selections. With the selections, we have five award winners: Overall Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Specialist of the Year, and Coach of the Year.

While it is hard to pick just one selection, all the athletes and coaches considered for each selection are very deserving of the honors.

Without further ado, here are the winners for the 2024 FloridaHSFootball.com All-State Team Awards for Class 6A, and congratulations to all our award winners!

CLASS 6A OVERALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR

ATH Justin Williams, Buchholz (Gainesville), Jr.

There was probably no more dynamic offensive weapon in Class 6A than Justin Williams. The only athlete in the Sunshine State to have over 1,000 yards each in rushing and receiving, Williams was a dynamic piece to a Buchholz offense that went to its fourth consecutive state semifinal. To his credit, he had 108 carries for 1,023 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns while hauling in 85 receptions for 1,473 yards and 13 touchdowns. Williams’ often explosive plays led the Bobcats to victory, earning him the Class 6A Overall Player of the Year Award.

CLASS 6A OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

RB Taevion Swint, Osceola (Kissimmee), Sr.

The Kowboys rode the offense en route to the 2024 state championship game on the legs of Swint, who racked up 198 carries for 1,915 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2024. To his credit, Swint added two receiving touchdowns, giving him 28 total touchdowns. Swint signed with UCF to play football.

CLASS 6A DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

DL Xavier Reid, West Boca Raton, Jr.

Reid was a key dynamic defense weapon for the Bulls and was one of the key reasons why West Boca Raton came away with the school’s first-ever state championship. Racking up a whopping 104 tackles and 32 tackles for loss, Reid made his presence felt on the field on most defensive snaps. Reid also collected seven sacks and hurried quarterbacks 12 times. Also added to his stat line were a pass deflection, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, three blocked punts, and four blocked field goals. No matter what was going on Reid made it happen defensively in 2024.

CLASS 6A SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR

K Jay Giunta, Buchholz (Gainesville), Jr.

One of the top-rated kickers in the 2026 Class, Giunta made a significant impact for the special teams side of the ball for the Bobcats as they made their run to a fourth consecutive State Semifinal appearance. To his credit, Giunta went 56-of-56 on PATs and was 10-of-14 on field goals, with his longest coming from 47 yards out. On kickoffs, Giunta was known to blast a deep ball downfield and also averaged 38.4 yards per punt on punting.

CLASS 6A COACH OF THE YEAR

Dylan Potts, West Boca Raton

Had you told us back at the start of the season that West Boca Raton was going to be lifting a state championship in the air, we would have indeed said no, but as the season went on, things started to become evident that the Bulls were meaning business and were a team not to mess around with despite one on-the-field loss in the regular season that would later be reversed via forfeit. The Bulls were the only team in the state to finish with a perfect record at 15-0. Credit Potts for guiding an instrumental turnaround of a program that was once an afterthought in Palm Beach County to being one of the top teams in all of Florida in just three years. In the future, West Boca Raton will be among the teams floated regarding potential deep playoff runs.
