Rankings are based on the Florida Power Rankings Index's two-year historical blend of 2024 and 2025 performance.

Use the table below to see where your team ranks regionally in the Fort Myers, Bradenton, and Sarasota areas. These preseason rankings will serve as the baseline as the 2026 season unfolds starting February 16.

Classification Breakdown:

Class 4A : 2 teams (Lakewood Ranch leads at #4 overall)

Class 3A : 11 teams (North Fort Myers leads at #1 overall)

Class 2A : 11 teams (Estero leads at #5 overall)

Class 1A : 6 teams (Avon Park leads at #18 overall)

Independents : 2 teams (Riverview leads at #27 overall)

Competitive Balance:

The region features a clear top five with North Fort Myers, Parrish, Riverdale, Lakewood Ranch, and Estero all rated above 37.0. The middle tier includes competitive programs capable of playoff runs, while the bottom third features developing programs working to establish consistency.

Geographic Distribution:

Fort Myers Area : 8 teams in top 15 (North Fort Myers, Riverdale, Bishop Verot, Gateway Charter, Fort Myers, South Fort Myers, Dunbar, Bonita Springs)

Bradenton-Sarasota Area : Strong representation with Parrish, Lakewood Ranch, Manatee, Southeast, Booker, and Bayshore

Cape Coral : Mariner and Ida Baker provide solid programs in the area

Teams to Watch:

District 3A-11 features five ranked teams (North Fort Myers #1, Mariner #10, Fort Myers #11, Ida Baker #12, Cape Coral #29), creating the region's most competitive district race
