The 2026 Florida flag football season is just 12 days away, and the Space & Treasure Coast brings 30 teams into the new season across all four classifications plus independents with several programs along Florida’s eastern coast ready to compete. Led by Fort Pierce Central, the region features competitive programs with playoff and championship aspirations.

Fort Pierce Central enters as the region’s clear favorite and one of the top Class 4A programs statewide. Martin County provides strong Class 3A representation, while Jensen Beach leads the Class 2A contingent. The region’s mix of established programs and developing teams creates competitive balance throughout. Here’s a look at the top 10 teams heading into 2026, based on the Florida Power Rankings Index’s two-year historical blend.

ANALYSIS

Fort Pierce Central: Enters 2026 as the Space & Treasure Coast’s highest-rated program at 77.23 and one of the top Class 4A programs statewide. The Cobras are legitimate state championship contenders and the overwhelming favorite in the region.

Martin County (Stuart): Sits second in the region at 52.28 as the top Class 3A program. The Tigers provide strong representation for the region and enter as solid playoff contenders in their classification.

Jensen Beach: Leads the region’s Class 2A programs at #3 overall with a 46.91 rating. The Falcons are competitive playoff contenders and anchor a solid 2A presence in the region.

Class 3A Depth: Beyond Martin County, the region features South Fork (#4, 42.67) and Fort Pierce Westwood (#5, 33.16) in Class 3A. This trio gives the Space & Treasure Coast solid depth in the classification.

Class 4A Competition: Fort Pierce Central dominates the regional Class 4A field, with Treasure Coast (#7, 26.54), Vero Beach (#8, 18.38), and Centennial (#10, 12.89) providing additional representation. The gap between Fort Pierce Central and the rest of the 4A programs is significant.

Class 1A Programs: John Carroll (#6, 29.19) and Lincoln Park Academy (#9, 14.61) represent the region’s Class 1A programs. Both schools provide competitive programs in their classification.
