Miami Edison returns as the defending Class 1A state champion, entering the district tournament with a 12-1 record and the top rating in the classification. Wildwood, the defending state runner-up, brings a 6-2 record and 95.7% championship odds into District 1A-5 with another title run firmly in sight. Somerset Charter is the only undefeated team left standing in 1A at 15-0, while Somerset Canyons enters with the second-best class rank in the classification at 12-1. District 1A-6 stands alone as the most wide-open bracket in the field with five teams carrying real championship odds and no dominant favorite. Four first-year programs in District 1A-10 make their postseason debut alongside one of the most compelling two-team title races in Region 3. With 16 districts across four regions tipping off this week, here is a district-by-district breakdown of the 1A field.

Hannah Bowden is a two-way threat with 616 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns alongside 14 sacks. Soleil Ackerman has added another pass-rush dimension with 9 sacks and 4 defensive interceptions. Destin is no afterthought at 53% championship odds — the Sharks are led by Neilya Stewart, who has thrown for 1,074 yards and 10 touchdowns while rushing for 570 more. Jurisah Bailey has been one of the most complete weapons in 1A with 1,223 receiving yards, 21 touchdowns, and 14 defensive interceptions. Ausha Harryhill added 461 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. Baldwin holds 53% championship odds and 66.7% playoff probability at 7-6, led by Halle Bennie's 1,355 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. Hawthorne is the most notable FPRI-FHSAA divergence — the Hornets are seeded fifth by the FHSAA, but FPRI ranks them seventh. That downgrade makes sense given their 491st-ranked schedule — the softest in this district. Ariana Wilson of Hawthorne is the standout on the stat sheet with 794 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, a strong individual performance that explains why the Hornets earned that seeding despite FPRI's skepticism. Keystone Heights, Newberry, Florida Deaf and Blind, and Eastside are all at 0%.
