Seminole Ridge returns as the defending Class 3A state champion, entering the district tournament with a 12-2 record and the top rating in the entire classification. Chiles, the defending state runner-up, brings a 12-2 record and 89% championship odds into District 3A-2 with another deep run squarely in their sights. Ponte Vedra, in just its second year as a program, enters at 14-0 and has built a legitimate case as the best team in 3A. District 3A-7 features six teams with real playoff probability, headlined by Seminole Ridge, making it one of the most loaded brackets in the state. Buchholz enters undefeated at 12-0 yet draws the second seed in District 3A-5 — one of the more fascinating seeding storylines of the tournament.
