I understand that I bring up Vero mainly because they are the biggest competition in that area to Treasure Coast as of late and are naturally competitive rivals as of late I also bring it up because both teams have completely different scheduling approaches as Treasure Coast, unlike Vero, has played games in SFL against powerhouses while Vero hasn't played a road regular season game against a Dade or Broward school in years so I bring it up because I feel like he's taking the approach that teams are better based on what their record is with no true evaluation into those records If record meant everything to how good a team is than Treasure Coast should have lost to Martin County tonight but they didn't

One of the main issues is Prep Gridiron (who actually made the site) stopped showing up so left the mods to basically run the show but they allowed their personal animosity to alienate several good members because they didn't like them and instead chose the side of people like badrouter, Los, RedZone and ga96 who will dox members, troll every post and disengrate any moral fabrics it once had Now it's basically just the wild west of people attacking someone they don't like and acting like boneheads in the process and the mods will let posters dox others if they are connected to GSB site with slaps on the wrist but will ban outright for a lot less That's when I walked away from that board because I wasn't gonna post on a board that gave special treatment towards members for avoiding their "competition's" site

Glad this board is back up as it's basically the only board I post on since the Prep Gridiron board turned into a zoo and caters to the liars and clowns too much I occasionally post on national HS football but I usually just focus on Florida as I don't know enough about most the other states or want to put the time in to be valuable asset on other states Though I see a certain few former members in Los and skyway are mad the site back up because they got banned from here for being pricks so I'm glad they are unhappy about it, they can stay on that Prep Gridiron board and continue to be liars for all of eternity for all I care

If they used the actual MaxPreps formula it probably wouldn't be as bad This system is basically record rankings as any undefeated team has a serious edge over anyone with a loss regardless of SOS if it's not like -10 SOS

I also think the FHSAA formula lowered the value of SOS in their version without telling anyone because again if we don't know the MaxPreps formula we have no way to truly double check it

Yeah I do think it's highly unlikely Columbia would play a team without getting a home game out of it unless they could pay a serious stipend so it sounds like until the current county AD lifts some restrictions or someone new takes the job and is more "progressive" with the scheduling then we won't see Columbia vs Plant anytime soon

It's interesting you mentioned that because there used to be Florida vs Florida games at that event One year Columbia played Mainland during the Disney event so it would be nice to see something like that because the Colorado vs the weakest teams in Florida has devalued that event significantly as of late

In fact of the publics you listed only Apopka (to my knowledge) hasn't been busted for recruiting in the playoff era So what makes these public schools recruiting kids any better than the private schools you complain about nonstop?

There's not a lot of Canadian teams so they typically schedule independent teams but yeah these 2 teams shouldn't be playing as it's a clear mismatch
