Madison County *

I see where Franklin County's superintendent arbitrarily chose to forfeit the remainder of the Seahawk's season with two games left a couple weeks back. The coach said he still had 25 players and they wanted to finish the season. Initial reports were that the coach was fired as well, but the school district has since backtracked on that.

I've had players jump to kill clock. It's a very old and time-tested coaching tool.

Coach Pruitt stepping down at Union Co. was a bit unexpected.

I will let you know about Pensacola Lighthouse. The first year they played, they beat some MS team 14-7. I don’t have the site pulled up in front of me.
Here is their schedules for 2016 - last season (according to the cited site):

Lighthouse Private Christian Acad. (Pensacola) first fielded a team in 2017: https://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/lighthouse-private-christian-academy-(pensacola,fl)/football/home.htm

Soccer = brain trauma
far more than football, but there is no political agenda against soccer.

I thought Niceville would have had a better resume than Ely

... who has two years HC experience at 1A Graceville. Maybe he'll do great, but it's mighty hard to be the man who follows the man.

I thought Powers was at a Prep School in Port Saint Lucie?
That one imploded. Apparently a fly-by-night scam - an investigation is proceeding. Powers was coaching and not involved in the scam. I believe he has a pending lawsuit against them.

Anyone else notice the northward exodus of Florida coaches?

He played HS ball at Rickards. Previously served as head coach at East Gadsden (current Gadsden Co. HS) from 2010-2012.

Same old song take Baker away from home on a neutral site they get thumped.
48-27 (41-14 @ halftime).
If PSJ were the better team, they'd have won. They weren't and didn't.
Madison County (530) and James Madison Prep (187) were better than Baker.
C'est la vie.

Last weekend Baker got 2" of rain from Saturday night til Monday morning. Their field is in a pit (holds water) and has been in use all season - sand is used to fill divots when field conditions require it for the safety of the players. Unless you have eyewitness proof or photographic documentation of the field being fed water, I'm calling your assertion sour grapes. Football gets played in all conditions - are you saying that PSJ can only win when conditions are ideal? Well, all I can say is the conditions were equally bad for both teams, and PSJ lost by three touchdowns.

Navarre must be pretty stout to play two games tonight.
